Have you seen this???

Asela Hopkins had this super tutorial on making a tag from a square punch....check it out!! What a great idea! I am always in awe of the *so* many creative people out there!!! Pin It Now!

A personal challenge to go with my SC

Combined with today's sketch challenge over st SCS, I decided to take on my own personal challenge as well.
I have tons and tons of DS papers stored up here...I could not buy any for about a year, and still have enough to go around!! (Can you say addict?)
So, some of it will be retiring, and I should really use some of it up. Besides, I *cannot* justify purchasing any more until I make a small dent in the collection! ;)
So here is my attempt at both challenges...

Details: CS- Sentimental Journey, Sahara Sand, SU!. Ink- Choc Chip, & Cranberry- SU! Michael's $ stamp and Stamp Of Authenticity, SU!. All other elements- SU! Pin It Now!

Two in day-

So, I have accomplished nothing today in the form of house work! I did however get a phone call from my son's school. He was in the nurses office, begging and pleading for her not to call me....Why you ask?

Last year he was taken off the playground in a wheelchair because his "hip hurt".

A little over dramatic to say the least! But, that is my son for you! Anyhow, I came down to pick him up early from school, (since he was "hurt") and when we hit the front door of the school, he darted out like a bat out of you now where!

We now have strict rules regarding going to the school nurse.
1) He must be profusely bleeding, or
2) An appendage must be hanging by a thread, or 3) A bone is sticking out.

My plan to help him curb his desire for attention worked! Today-he had been playing teatherball and the ball smacked him in the head. School rules are he needs to be checked, iced, documented, and a ohone call home. He was sweatin' bullets since he didn't fit into one of the above mentioned rules!!! I may consider laying off a tad! ;)

Here is one more card from the challenge today!! I think I may have a slight problem!! I can't stop stamping!! I really hope this small saying set makes the new catty. Pin It Now!

SS reveal part 4

So, here is the inside pages. Colors used are Coral, Apricot, Regal Rose, PIP, Moss, and Celery.

I managed to tuck a few cards into it as well, hopefully, to give her a great start on using it! Pin It Now!

SS Reveal....again!

Okay, so while a fumble and learn how to use Blogger, I will post this way.
I cannot seem to get my pics to layout how I want them to!!

This is another part of my SS Reveal...A card organizer. I love these, they are really fun to make.
I had to give my well loved and soon to be retiring RIW a turn in the spotlight.
The tutorial for these can be found here.

The pink is actually Regal Rose, and looks quite bright on my photo!! Pin It Now!

CC 116

CC116~ Garden Green, Cool Carribean, and Choc Chip. Now I *dig* Carribean and Choc together, the garden green took some thinking!

The stamp is by Stampendous and is named Aspire. I colored it with my markers, then stamped it onto my watercolor paper. I rant the aqua painter over it to slightly soften the look of it.

Both the Choc Chip panel and Carribean panels are pierced along their bottom edge and placed with dimensionals. Grosgrain is Choc Chip with the ric rac and ruffled ribbons from the flirty ds ribbons.
Have a super day....I am off to comment on a few of the other Color Challenges!! Pin It Now!

SS Reveal

So, *note to self* Upload pics in a backwards order! *This is the last of the frames, hangs on the bottom*

The colors are Choc Chip and Caramel. All products SU.

The next panel uses Buckaroo Blue, a color which I escaped from ordering this year! The only non SU element is the brown polka dotted ribbon.

And lastly, the top frame! A Sahara Sand panel is backed by Cranberry Crisp. All elements SU.
The whole thing is kept together by the brown polka dotted ribbon, and then mod-podge onto the back.

I also enclosed a few blank coasters for her to decorate her self as well. Pin It Now!

If your my Secret Sis.....

Then look the other way!!!
This is just part of the reveal I sent off to her. It is a chipboard hanging frame. She has two boys, so I *tried* my hardest to not girly it up!! Pin It Now!

Shane's Wish CC113

Happy Memorial Day to you!
What a great day it is! Here, again, is another card from a few weeks back! The story is all too touching though~

Shanes' Wish Color Challenge
Read all about him here.
This card is supposed to be for a little 7 year old boy who has lymphoblastic leukemia, but came off a little on the girly side...I don't think he will mind! ;)
Stories like this really make you appreciate your healthy family, and just how precious life is. My son is also 7, and I couldn't even imagine taking on the battle he has at his age!

I am a little late getting this card out to him, but hopefully I can send a second to make up for it!

The details: CS & Inks: Teal, WW, Marigold, Carribean, all by SU. Ribbon & brads SU, Primas, Image courtesy of the IRAK group on SCS, ands is the SU retiring set Living Large.
