I have had a busy week, and while I have had one card laid out on my desk since Monday, I haven't actually been working on it since Monday!!
Hopefully I can get it finished up here soon if I get a free moment. I have so many things I want to get busy on, I need life to just stop for a few days~ kwim??
So my daughter is better, and now my son stayed home sick today!! Ear infection.
I hope he is better soon, because I am taking off for a girls weekend at our cabin at the beach Saturday morning.
I will try and update soon with some thing fun! Pin It Now!

LOVE this bird!! I am thinking now though that I should have done less "stuff" on the side as it seems to take away from the bird....What do you think?
Maybe it's the angle???
Super busy week....the treadmill is trying to hurt me, and I have my sons school auction this Friday night~ lots of little details getting that thing ready to go~ I also got a new set of stamps from Sharon over at A Chemistry with paper to work on....My son had mention wanting to learn to clone, I think now would be a fine time for that!
And thanks soooooo much to everyone with wishes and prayers for my little one, she is feeling super! back to normal....lots of sibling fighting going on again last night!!
I will share more later when I have a free moment!
Have a super one!

How cute are they! Of course I am a tad biased... ;)
I love these colors together- they are so fun! And work for both boys and girls.
I just love these pictures of the two when they look like they actually love each other. And why is it that one will be looking at the camera, but not the other?!? Always happens like that! These pictures were taken about a year and a half ago.
This is a hodgepodge of stuff...the thickers (Thanks Becky!!!) are by American Crafts, Journaling arrows are the studio g $1 stamps from Micheal's, and the rub ons, new silver hph, & ribbon are all SU!
We are moving slow today...My little bug is sick and has been running a fever since last night. I snuck out today to get her some Tylenol since the advil was not working to keep the fever down.
Hopefully she is feeling better soon...She just looks so sad!
have a super Sunday! Pin It Now!

When I saw the sketch for the this weeks challenge over as the LAD forum~
I immediately thought of this little chocolate. It has been begging me to ink it up since I brought it home!
And then, of course, I had these embellishments that were also asking to be used. I hadn't used my dew drops since before my trip! Anyone else have "stuff" speak to them?
If not, please don't tell me...
So- the chocolate is stamped in timber brown stazon, colored in with choc chip & regal rose wwc, and covered with glassy glaze. Dew drops were randomly placed on the MM paper that i had previously been hoarding, along with some random stickles. To continue tying in all the dots, I added a piece of polka-dotted sheer choc organdy over the vanilla grosgrain.
Anyhoo....I snuck in some stamping time this am before my crazy weekend hits-
here's to hoping for a bit of free time this to stamp this weekend! I did manage to scrap a page, I will share on Sunday for Scrap Book Sunday.
Stamps- Petite Phrases- LAD
CS: MM polka dotted paper, Very Vanilla, Regal Rose.
Ink: Timber Brown stazon.
WWC, Brads, Glassy Glaze, & dimensionals- all SU! Ribbon (unknown) & stickles. Pin It Now!

This one I did for LAD sketch #14.
I love these little spaceships!! this whole LAD set is so fun!
And since we had two birthdays for boys in 2 weeks I figured I needed a few bday cards on hand!
And, I have been tagged by Jackie (The Scalloped Edge) so here goes:
1. Stamping Style: I love clean lines, and simple. I don't like to spend an hour on a card that will be thrown in the circular file.
2. Inspiration: All lot of my inspiration comes from SCS, but mostly my great swaps gals.
3. Color: Krystie has me on a pumpkin, sky/bashful, olive/wasabi kick right now. Anything with Kraft is good!!
4. Work Space:The office I took over a few years back. :)
5. Perfect day: When I oooze ideas and inspiration and it all just works!
6. First Job: Worked in a hamburger joint!
7. Wildest dream: I'm not very wild either...travel to Italy, Germany, and possibly a few other wonderful areas. For my kids to grow up to be happy and successful would be great for me!
8. Ink: SU!, Versafine. I like the palette noir, but it's a tad dry....need to get a reinker.
9. Family: Husband: Jeff, son: Will, 8. daughter: Lauren, 4
10. Beverage: DARK coffee, (as in french/italian roast). tea (green/roobios/white) after coffee addiction has been sufficed.
11. Biggest Challenge: Time management. I waste too much on the darn puter.I am going to pass this on to:
Denise, who is home now from a mini vaca-
Details- stamps: LAD out of this world
CS: WW, Wasabi, Naturals White.
Inks: Versafine, Wasabi, Pumpkin, Bashful, Going and Basic Greys.
Stickles, dimensionals, MU scalloped oval punch. Pin It Now!

Hopefully a picture is worth a million words!
The first is of the handles, all four.
The second is of the sets- they are mounted in cassettes.
Then there is the cassettes replacing the wood mounts.
Check out that bird stamp, isn't is so cool!! I just love it!
The rest are using the cassettes, and unmounted on the flip side. Angela has posted the craft critique video on her blog as well.
I am home with my son today who is on break~ we are off to see the Spiderwick Chronicles after my daughter is home from preschool.
Hoping to be able to stamp tomorrow~ Pin It Now!

Whenever I met anyone from SCS, they all hug you!! It's like a big huge family!
The first is of Shannan and I (Steubner) we were Secret Sis's a while back, and were probably just separated at birth. We clicked from day one. (Minus the handcuff confusion!)
The second is with Valerie (11Valerie11) and I. She just has a way, kwim? She always has clean and fabulously simple, yet detailed kind of style.
And of course Lori Craig who is hands down gotta be the nicest lady evah!! I missed meeting up with her in Portland, and was *SO* glad to hear she was going to be at CHA!!!
Definitely the highlight of Anaheim was meeting all of these super great women!!!
At some point I will return to stamping and post some cards! I brought home more stuff than I know what to do with! I just need to get back into my routine again. Pin It Now!

In an effort to not post all 30plus pics in one post I will try and post a few each day.
So- I mostly managed to get pictures of people I had the great opportunity to meet and not new products. *sorry*!!! I know they are plenty of them out there though!
Here are a few from the first night~ this is at the SCS cupcake reception. The first is Sharon Rivera from A Chemistry With Paper and her very close friend.
The second is of Roy and Diana Crick of Scor Pal, again with Sharon & I. (Don't think I didn't come home with one of those awesome tools!!!!)
I later met up with Roy and Diana at their booth as well, and they are so very nice!
The last is of one of the most genuinely heartwarming people you could ever meet!! Lori Craig has always been so very uplifting and I have been a *huge* fan of her positivity and style for a loooong time!
I was lucky enough to have run into her several times at the show. She stopped by our booth to showcase Chris and Angela's new line, Unity Stamps on the SCS@CHA blog!!
I also managed to come home with more than I left with....Good thing it's only $25.00 extra when you bag goes over the 50lb mark!!!
I managed to bring home a full set of the Unity Stamp Companies handles to play with, (along with several sets,) A few sets from MFT, a few samples from a new line called Pink Paislee, (I think they were mentioned on the Craft Critique Blog) and of course *more* than several new sets from LAD!!! I also brought home a scor pal, scor pal bag, and some scor pal tape!
Meeting everyone there was the best part of it all! I am slowly beginning to get back to my schedule here at home, and am wondering if the kids *really* need food or can I blow them off to stamp? It's been over a week!!
more tomorrow! :) Pin It Now!
February 8, 2008
Maybe I'll sneak her on board!!! My husband put her in my suitcase today, she didn't care much for it!
I have never been away from my kids for 5 days, and while I am wanting the break, I am also dreading it.
I will miss those little feet running up to hug me first thing in the am.
However...absence makes the heart grow fonder I am told.
I can't wait...tomorrow I leave~ I am hoping I can post pics....not sure if my laptop will work~
See ya next week!!! Pin It Now!
February 7, 2008
I made this little ditty for a swap of sorts for someone at SCS ...Just in case she hasn't yet received it, I will not mention any names.
This is Nichole's Criss Cross box she posted a while back.
I am going to be doing 12 of these for my daughter today, These will be her Valentines for her class. Since I come home late the night before Valentines day, I need to have these done before I go. Nothing like piling it on-
I have a class tonight, and what seems like a million things to do before I leave Saturday. It will be back to calm and normal soon.
This one uses Kraft, regal rose, and real red, and the sweet shapes & little pieces sets. I cased the band from 11Valerie11. The heart in the circle is covered with dazzling diamonds, as is each scallop. I punched a few hearts from the little pieces set and popped them up with dimensionals.
Countdown to CHA- 2 days!!! Yea!
I am pretty excited~ I am planning on taking my camera & laptop, and will try to post pics as often as I can. Pin It Now!
February 6, 2008
I went there! Yep, that's summer sun! And brilliant blue. Last week's CC (yuk yoyo yellow) spurred the color scheme.
I have a class this week and it occurred to me that I use the same color schemes a lot...which do not include these two! So, out they came, and you know what...I kind of like it!! Might be the fact that my High School colors were blue and gold, so it just seems to work.
And this is such an interesting size card to work with. It would probably work well with the longer images, which will be my next project. The birds were paper pieced here- love that with these birds.
It's and 8-1/2 x 3. and it fits perfect in the legal size envies.
Does anyone use summer sun or brilliant blue any more?? Anyone?
What do you think...does it work, or is it just me?
Details: A little birdie told me. Summer Sun, Brilliant Blue, Naturals White, & RR Prints DS paper. Black versafine ink, Summer Sun & Brilliant Blue markers to color in the hat. Photo corner punch, Brads, RR DS Ribbon, & Paper piercing tool. Pin It Now!

I was checking out Renee's blog, and was thinking to myself~ "I love that long card....I should try one"... and the next day who was the FS?
What perfect timing. I never participate in the FS...Sunday's used to be family day, but my husband's new schedule seems to be interfering with that process. Ask me how much I love his new schedule...(not my favorite topic at the moment! ;)
So in other Super Tuesday excitement....my first SU order will be here today! I can't wait to get my hands on those felt flowers. I have a few more cards to prep for my class, and Lauren's valentines to finish up this week. I leave in 4 days for Anaheim, so I am trying to get everything squared away before I go for 5 days. I hope it's a bit warmer there than it is here.
Details: Spring Solitude; Naturals White, Wasabi, Blue Bayou Prints papers. Wasabi, Blue Bayou classic inks, and black versafine. MU punches, Jo Ann's brads. Pin It Now!
February 3, 2008
For good reasons though...it's been a long week here!
My husband is working a few extra hours each day it seems, leaving me to feeling like a single mom at the moment! Also~ I seem to be having email issues. None of my comments are being sent to me at the moment, and I can't tell if it's blogger or my email~
This card I whipped up for Molly over at Eccentric Images~ I had in my head the shower of smoke that you see under the spaceships when they take off, but didn't want to use a swirl type stamp to create it, so I pierced it. I like the way it turned out. The DCWV paper reminded me of outer space!
I have a few million things I have been working on that I need to just sit down and upload~ time management is not a newly (although I am sure temporary!!) single mom's best subject at the moment!!
Onto some more than fabulous news~ I have been invited to head down to Anaheim this Saturday to help Angela with her company's launch at CHA! While I am crazy with anticipation and excitement, I am so *incredibly* nervous! Which is not my usual self...I am usually so confident in myself and my abilities....this week I haven't felt that!!
Don't worry Angela if you are reading this~ I will snap out of it!
Off to go four different directions today~ again. At least I got my treadmill time in! Pin It Now!
