Hip HOP! it's that time again...

Well- I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have one more hip hop Halloween card!

I love Halloween- and I love these cute little images! I tried to color like the extraordinary Jeanne, but.....no such luck!

The next card is one of the new releases for today- and I saw this so cute layout somewhere in blog land and it is right up my alley as far as CAS goes!
The first tree is colored in with copics, the other two are paper pieced with the ski slope ( ?) paper. All are outlined with bg10, and I *need* to order a refill of that!
This stamp will make some quick and easy cute Christmas tags-my plan for today!

The last was initially for the FS challenge, but sort of went my own way with it! I used the nesties for the focal point.
I colored the sleigh in with a brown and red copic since I don't have a burgundy one, and I think it worked out well. The deer's antler's, and the sleigh reigns are all highlighted with a sakura glitter pen.

Make sure to head on over to miss Christi's blog to see what she has in store for you!

Monday challenge time

First- Paper Crafts has a great new book getting ready for release- Check out this great recipe and gift packaging courtesy of Alisa Bangerter.

You can pre-order the book here.

Cheesy Garlic Drop Biscuits

Alisa Bangerter

This is a perfect recipe to pull out if you are short on time because there is no rolling or cutting. The cheese and garlic add extra kick to a plain biscuit, and kids love them. They are the perfect accompaniment to serve with soups or stews, and are great served with a salad.

2 c. flour

2 tbsp. granulated sugar

4 tsp. baking powder

1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp. salt

2/3 c. butter or margarine

1 1/2 c. grated cheddar cheese

1 1/4 c. milk

Chives (optional)

Mix together dry ingredients. Cut in butter with pastry cutter until mixture is fine. Add cheese and mix well. Add milk and stir until just moistened. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Sprinkle top with chopped dried or fresh chives if desired. Bake at 400 degrees for approx. 15 minutes.

Enjoy Halloween Tag

I'm not sure if I mentioned it yesterday- Lauren's soccer season is over, she finished it with two goals yesterday!! Will has a few more weeks to go! I get to sleep in on Saturday's again! :)

We are heading out to 2 birthday's today...another gorgeous but chilly day here. And rain is expected on Halloween. of course.

morning stamping/non stamping peeps...
(that's for you in Thailand) it's a chilly Saturday morning and I am up getting ready for Lauren's last soccer game of the season. I am sort of relieved that I will not have to get up so early on Saturday's any longer, but she is bummed. She is ready for her next sport- t-ball. I was kind of hoping for nothing! ;)

I made this for the LAD sketch this week- you can find it here.

After we get through soccer, I think we will be carving out some pumpkins...then off to a haunted house with some friends. It is going to be gorgeous here today, (as much as it can be in late October!) so it will be a great day to be outside and let the kids run!

stamps- celebrations, celebration sayings- LAD
chocolate, baja, SU ds paper
cuttlebug, ribbon- unkown, nesties, & MS border punch.

Happy Friday! I'm a friend!

Yea for eclectic Paperie! If you get their newsletter, then you will see me in there!! Joy and Daisy are so sweet and helpful with any questions you may have! Head on over to eP and check out their newest line- Unity Stamps!

Ever have a idea in your head and the final result is nothing like what you envisioned? That would be this card today. Not sure why, but it's not my favorite. ;) I used the swiss dots cuttlebug folder on the apple paper, and highlighted my apple with a yg copic marker after stamping it in black memento ink.

Hip HOP folks!!

It's another Thursday- and I couldn't decide which holiday I would share with you, so I went with 3. ;)

The Trick or Treat card is my favorite of the projects- clean and simple. Stamped the candies several times, and colored in with my copics. It's a 4 1/4" squared card, I scalloped the bottom edge.

The next one, uses the cinnamon altoids tin. It's covered in Basic Grey, inside and out, and uses Cosmo letters on the top. These tags were fun to make- they all have some sort glitter or flock on them. I stamped each one with memento ink, added the coordinating paper ends, pierced each one, and threaded the button cord through the piercings.
I used my shimmerz paint to bling them up a little, and Santa, the presents, and the house have some fun flock on them. ready to tie on to gifts!

The last is Amber's sketch challenge she posted the other day. I just love the colors in that DS paper- and I have been waiting to use those leaves- worked out perfectly.

Now it's time to hop on over to Anne-Marie, guest scrapper extraordinaire. {She is amazing!}

Sketch challenge 199!

I managed to get my act together this morning and play in the sketch challenge- quick post this am, LOTS to catch up on!

I love this font Lynn used in the unlucky 13 kit.
Nothing too fancy here, used the cuttlebug, some MAMBI icons, brads. and SU! halloween paper.
Since it is a black card, figured I better dress the inside as well.

Need to finish Hip HOP projects- be back tomorrow! Pin It Now!

Kraft strikes again!

If you ever check out Sharon Johnson's blog- she has a 10 minute Tuesday segment that I love. I am one of those quick and easy style of stampers if you hadn't noticed ;) I like to create cards that are easily reproduced. And I have an aversion to Kraft and buttons. LOVE them both- so here is my version of a 10 minute Tuesday card- although, it may have been less than 10 minutes-

I have some fun things coming up that I can't yet share- so instead I will share some goodies- Halloween is right around the corner so I better find this stuff a home!
I will pick a random winner and announce Friday. Pin It Now!

A Jessica Rose card and some soccer.....

We decided to bust out our Jessica Rose images this week and play with them- This one had never seen ink, so it seemed like a good place to start.

I went with Kraft for the base- don't want to disappoint any one by using a new neutral! ;) I also went with a quick and easy layout- one of my faves.

We had another soccer filled weekend, threw a birthday party in the mix as well, and it's another jam packed weekend gone by! Here's a few pic of the kids playing soccer- my husband is not a camera person so much- so Lauren's pictures are a tad blurry-(I have to sub kids in and out, so I can't take them) But she scored TWO goals this weekend!! She's so proud! And the first one of Will is him trying to sneak up the side lines to the goal ;)

Check out the other Monday Challenge chicks and see what they shipped up for a card- and Brooke decided to play this week also!!!

Here is another card following the same sketch I used on Monday- not sure I am liking the final though...

The cute birds are from Jessica Rose- she has some of the cutest images- and these birds are right up there as one of my faves!

Hip hop hangover....

Well, as usual that peeps at the hip hop party over did it and are all slow movin' today!

Before I forget and Halloween passes, I better post all my halloween cards- this is the Boo Crew set, and it's got some adorable little guys in it!

It's probably too small to see, but I paper pieced Franks shirt with the same paper as the tag. Another quick and easy one!!

I have one home from school today with a friend over, and one still to get out the door to preschool.
My goal is to stamp or clean today....really need to clean first so I can stamp...
Then it's another busy weekend of soccer and birthday parties!
Have a great Friday!

It's time to Hip and hop today!

Happy Thursday hip hoppers!!!

Today I have a few cards, and a luminary that I found on SCS- and it is soooo easy and quick!

The first card is Baby Jesus- I colored it with my copics, and used some new SU holiday paper- love the different colors in it!

The angel card was also colored in with copics and an aquapainter- I covered her wings with glitter because I have always imagined angel wings this way! ;) I used my yummy winterland cosmo paper for my color inspiration.

And the fun little luminary- I think my kids loved seeing all lit up! I found the instructions here if you would like to give it a whirl! it was quick and easy!! The first two pics are with a tea light lit up.

Hope you have a little time to hip hop today- lots of prizes, lost of fun, chit chatting, and of course a SALE! 25% off your order all day!! get shopping!! Here is the link to the newest releases.

Team Edward!

I am finishing up with eclipse, and plan to start on breaking dawn tonight- if you haven't read this series of books- Go NOW and get them!

In honor of Edward- I whipped up this little boo crew card. I picture Edward cold and stone like, so I colored him gray.

Today is a day full of soccer games, my four year olds team is finally starting to get it. My daughter, (very competitive) is bitter every time they lose- it's sort of comical to see this cute little four year get so fired up!!!

It's going to be a beautiful (But somewhat chilly) day here today and tomorrow- so I am thinking a trip to the pumpkin patch will be in order!

have a great weekend!

Hip HOP Thursday is here!!!

Whew- this week just flew on by!! Hip Hop is here again with some fabulous new releases, and a new cause for October.

This weeks new sets are cuter than most, and Fall Festival. Both adorable sets!!
Christi reminded us of how much the October Afternoon paper would match the monsters in cuter than most- Thanks Christi!!

Unity will be donating to Operation Iraqi Children this month- 5% of your order from today will go towards this cause, and there is an optional $1 donation button on her site as well you can contribute with.

Since I hosted the sketch challenge for WCMD the other day, I didn't get a chance to play as much- so I turned the sketch on it's side for my first card- love the scarecrow- The second card- I ran the patterned paper through my cuttlebug, and it seemed to almost tear it. I have never had that happen-

The Monsters are soooo cute- what a great boy set!! My kids will both love these! I used a googlie eye I had in my stash- it seemed appropriate for the second card!!!

The last card- is using the kit of the month and the simply said kits- I managed to get a color and sketch challenge into one this week!!

I think I will be offering up a free single this afternoon over in the forum- go ahead and leave a comment here and I will choose a winner.
Make sure to stop on by Maren's blog next!!
She always has great stuff in store! ;)
