I am tired and sore from soccer last night, might need to sit and do a whole lot of nothing today! ;) I am still in the middle of rearranging my office which has led to much more mess and confusion than I ever thought possible...I have too much stuff- trying to purge!onto the card- Pretty basic here, should try and squeeze it in for the LSC yesterday on SCS!! ;)

Whew- another week flies by...

Cabin fever- I have it for sure! We had school delayed yesterday for 2 hours for what was the equivalent of less than a dusting of snow. It's been cold, Grey, rainy, and I am ready for some warmth!
although, living here doesn't provide for much in the way of warmth-

Today's Stamp simply challenge is to make a spring card.
This paper just screams spring to me- and in stamp simply fashion- I went with stamping right on the pattern paper. I added glitter to the flowers, buttons, and ribbon tags-

feel the JOY! it's hip hop time again!

and I made a little photo wallet of what brings me joy- But first- the cards~ I don't think I was able to utilize my beach set as much as I wanted- and since this is about what brings joy to you- I thought it was a good time to pull it out again-Love the beach- we are minutes from the beach and we spend as much time there as possible-
this card uses the kit- beach days and sun rays, paper is Cosmo, and those fun little brads are from impress- I tried to go with a wave look through out using my old fiskar scissors on the bottom edge-


I heart this flower! WOW! I will use it over and over for sure- hope to not make you sick of it!! This is the new release- feel the joy. Kraft brings me joy! ;)
and to the scrapping part...I prefer smaller projects- they aren't so daunting. This is photo wallet. But these are the things that bring me joy- my family, and seeing the look on their faces when I finish a layout (or a project like here) about them- priceless! they love being the center of a project. This is the wallet closed up- band uses Cosmo again. Stamp is from the kit love grows.

open with all the sleeves pulled out- The middle picture- brings me the most joy ever. That is one of my all time favorite pictures of my kids. It makes me smile every time I see it! This was for my mom's 50th birthday at the space needle 2 years back-
and the flip side of all the inserts- top stamp, middle stamp, and bottom sentiments.

Happy hump day- I think I may have taken on a huge task in re organizing my office last night...my neighbor brought over this HUGE cabinet for us to use, and it fits in here perfectly- however....i had to take EVERYTHING out of there and rearrange like nobody's business...

I may not resurface for days!!! ok- so on to the card-Sympathy cards are never fun to make.

It's Tuesday and time for another Jacksonbelle challenge- pretty simple one today- free for all!
well, as long as you are fancy...we are using the fancy pants line- about a boy today!


I used the Fancy pants designs- about a boy line, and the inka dogs set for my card. I even painted shimmerz on my dog, but it's not showing so well-he really is a sparkly dog! ;)

Monday Challenge Chicks do Unity!

Happy Monday- Ever have one of those monday's that you feel you need to recover from the weekend still....that's me. We ran ragged this weekend- all good stuff, lots of friends, food, and fun, but I am in need of some down time! Maybe even some good ol' recreational stamping is in order.... anyways, onto business!

This weeks challenge is to use Unity in a MOXIE FAB way! ;)

This first card uses the patchwork petals single. I stamped it several times using black, blue, and brown, cut it out, and popped them together with pop dots. The patterned paper is Basic grey, and the ribbon is from Crate. This is an odd size card, 3 3/4 x 4. The sentiment is from this kit.
This card uses the new single flowers from neverland. I also paired it up with this weeks CAS03. The main panel is popped up and the flower is as well.

I am in need of some spring!

We have been having great weather, but it is still reallly chilly out. I am wanting a bit of warm with the fabulous sun that has been out this week! The tulips are another reason- LOVE tulips!

I love how all the flowers work in the pot- or the watering can as well!

Thank Goodness for friday! It's Stamp Simply time and this weeks challenge is to use black ink. ONLY. eeeks! It seemed more difficult than it really was!My card uses the Lizzie Anne Designs single Hoppy Easter. I am actually *quite* happy with this design, even with the lack of coloring in.

I went *way* out of my comfort zone!

Happy Thursday-
it's another edition of hip hop Thursday! Today we are show casing the releases from last week again. Too many great images in one day-

This first card uses the linden branch and a sentiment from Simply Said. I couldn't steer clear from the Kraft ;) Paper is from Basic Grey, and the ribbon is making memories.
and this little ditty uses the just polka dots background, simply said, & patchwork petals. This also is my card for this weeks clean and simple challenge to use only one button.
The ribbon- is SU! white satin colored with my copic. Love that!
And lastly....the one that takes me out of my normal stamping range...I distressed, added flowers, buttons, thread, pins, and ribbon! I am not "in love" with it, but it's not horrible! ;)
It uses the stamp numbers, etc. and I thought it would be fun to make a birthday card using it~

My card uses the Lizzie Anne set In the Nursery. Paper is October Afternoon, Dew Drops, (instead of buttons) and May Arts ribbon. Instead of coloring the piggie in, I went around with my copic marker. And yet again, another case of late night photography seems to be hindering the brightness of my picture.

my favorite holiday.....

is Christmas, and in honor of Maren, I opted for a Christmas tree card using BUTTONS! :)
This weeks Monday challenge chicks was to make a card for our favorite holiday- I love them all, but opted for Christmas. I scalloped the edge of the card with my SU scallop punch and layered a white piece on the inside for contrast. I am still calling this CAS....it's not a fussy card even with all of the buttons!

This is the second week in a row I have went with a Christmas theme on Monday...weird considering I was sick of Christmas card by mid December!

Another Stamp Simply kind of post! Love these challenges- simple is a good thing- and the way I have been running this week- I could use some "simple" cards- this card took no more than 5 minutes, and that might be a stretch!

Today's challenge is to monogram, (ssnotime74 when uploading to scs) and Sharon said anything monogram was good.....so- The paper is making memories, and the monogram is also a making memories sticker.
pretty quick and simple!!
and I can't find my desk in my office so I will now spend about 8 hours in here cleaning!

Hip HOP!

Happy Thursday! It's been a crazy busy week for me! Today is looking to be the same-
Today's releases are fun and versatile- here is the first: sorry about the photo- having real issues with the lighting in it!


I just love this little row of flowers- I put dew drops on a few flowers, and some simple lemon yellow twinkling may arts ribbon. (yes, I am ready for spring) it SNOWED here the other day- that's not typical PNW weather- the kids were in a tail spin of course. moving on....
This one uses the new journal box- love this image! it has distressed dots in it! ;) colors are baja breeze, kraft, (big surprise huh?) cocoa, and chocolate.
And lastly I used the new heartfelt memories. I stamped the heart a second time, cut it out, and mounted it with pop dots. sentiments are both from this kit. Colors are Kraft, Chocolate, WW, and paper is bitterweet by basic grey.

This last one also is my submission for CAS01 found here. If you haven't heard about the new challenges- clean and simple, go play now! When I saw the stripes in this one it reminded me of this paper- love the paper!

I am late today! Sorry~things get crazy around here sometimes! It's snowing out, (weird for our area) I have a ton of PTA stuff to catch up on and basic household chores are being neglected!

I think someone may have their holidays mixed up!

When the challenge came up a card and more...not sure why I went with a Christmas theme! I was so ready to be done with Christmas cards. ;) Anyhoo...I did. And a very clean and simple ensemble it is... A tag, card, and matching envelope.

I used my nestibilities for the simple frame, and the tree is from Lizzie Anne Designs. I stamped it in memento ink and used a marker for the wood base. I added a few MAMBI Icons and some twinkle ribbon.
I may actually be ahead by the time Christmas rolls around! ;)

Negatively Stamp Simply!

I can't begin to tell you how much more I prefer a clean and simple card. I know I have said it before, but I really do. I love Sharon's challenges for that reason the most, I can really work the way I like to!

Today's challenge is to be negative! ;) I took it up on myself to adapt the challenge loosely as I normally do. I used the negative space from the circle to show case my image.

The full image can be seen here. The regal rose square is 2 1/4 and I used the 1 3/4 circle punch to take out the middle, and popped it up on dimensionals around my image. I used a strip of bittersweet paper from basic grey, and a the ribbon is May arts.

Hip Hop retro style!

It's that day of the week! Hip HOP!!! and the retro version is going to be fun! Have you seen any older stamps in a new light?? Well...my first one isn't too old! Here is the newer beach days and sun rays kit. I painted the sun with shimmerz for extra sparkle. It's cut out and mounted on the nesties circle with pop dots. The background is run through the swiss dots folder-And then here is the sailboat in blue- I paper pieced the sail to match the DS paper on the bottom of the card again- so much you can do with this one-
