    Simple Scrappin' Sunday!

Happy Sunday- Quickie post here as I am trying to spend as little time as possible inside while the sun is making an appearance this week!

Check on over at Jen's blog for all the deets-

My layout is quick with NO stamping. I used all Cosmo Christmas (I had it out from our Christmas hip hop!) I took a little liberty with her sketch- I replaced the stars with swirls and a photo turn-

enjoy- have a great week!!! Pin It Now!

    Stamp Simply Christmas style!

In case anyone is keeping tabs.....we are down to 69 days until school starts- not that I am counting ;) I can't even say TGIF since every day is a friday right now!

Keeping with the Christmas theme for the day- Sharon's stamp simply challenge for today is a two-fer. Green and blues with paper piercing.

I opted to use my newest Unity kit- Bright and merry winter wishes. Paper is from October Afternoon, and the tag is from SU! I believe-

and make sure to welcome our new members- Jenny Gropp is back, and Barbara Anders is joining the team! Welcome ladies- nice to have you here!!!

    Merry Christmas! hip hop style!

We wish you an early Christmas, We wish you an early Christmas....
well- even we are early with our Christmas release- I have heard of Christmas in JULY- but not JUNE!
    Happy Hip HOPPIN' Christmas style!

First up- a classic KRAFT card. Can't not use Kraft now. Too many comments when I don't! ;)
Circles are from various Cosmo Christmas papers, jewels are Kaiser.

Second up- a quickie one layer for the assembly line of mass production! Although, I will admit, coloring in the ornaments isn't a mass production type of card- I went with some non traditional Christmas colors. Sort of summery at the same time! ;)

And lastly- another clean card- Again with a non traditional color scheme. Turquoise and Kiwi. I like how it turned out though- fun!

now head on over to Ms Brookie's blog for some more Christmas inspiration! Pin It Now!

    bevy of butterflies!

Good Morning-happy Monday! I had an awesome weekend- and father's day-
the weather hasn't been super, but the kids and hubby decided to camp out in the back yard to kick off the official first week of summer break. with thunder and lightning overhead.
I opted to stay indoors. ;)

This week we decided on embossing- wet or dry. I also followed along with CPS121 as well- the sketch worked perfectly with my new bevy of butterflies!! and that OA paper matches the butterfly perfectly! made the faux brads with leftovers from the tang tango I cut my circle from- i didn't have any brads that matched, so I made my own.

This next one also uses the same kit- but is for the cas challenge last week, casing Natasha's card.
This set will see a lot of ink I am sure-

    stamp simply recipe time

Yea for summer break! I am happy to report there has only been one instance of fighting this morning~
Time for another stamp simply challenge today- recipes!

here is my easy peasy card- some prism papers in shades of kiwi, and white and a lime from the KI memories glitter paper- citrus mix.

here is a shot of the inside- I made a flap that holds the recipe-

and the actual recipe was taken from a Bacardi recipe and altered to my taste-
    12 mint leaves
    1/2 lime
    2 T Sugar
1 can of lemon lime sparkling water

Mottle (mash) the mint and lime together, add the sugar and the sparkling water and serve over ice.
This is a recipe we use often here, I have an awesome mint plant that is usually in full bloom so we take advantage of it all summer- the kids love these also- hence the non alcoholic recipe ;)

and a good bye to Becky- your work is awesome and I am sure I will still stalk your blog!! Pin It Now!

    Happy Friday!

It is the first official Friday of summer here and we are headed to the Pool!!!
*hopefully* this post works! Blogger was not cooperating yesterday!

I have another card up on the Prism blog today- make sure to head on over and check it out-

Here is a sneak peek image of it- I have been in an orange/yellow/green mood lately- not my normal kraft/black/brown shades! It must be the weather-

have a great weekend- and a happy Father's day! Pin It Now!

    First Day of Summer here!

Hello Hip HOPPERS...happy Rewind Thursday! Today is the first day of our summer break- and I have a dentist appointment for the 2 kids and I. I know how to live it up right? ;)

Here are a few fun cards I managed to squeeze in during this crazy last week of school...

This card uses the birdie inspiration set- I LOVE this kit, can't put my finger on it- but it's one of my faves! I stamped the birdie and the flourish on the white card stock with lemon tart, and on to the ocean tides with fresh snow. It's not at all colors I would normally use together, but I like how it turned out~

and here is my second card- also using the same set. This sentiment is so fun!! Just love it- Paper is from October Afternoon-

*and* YOU HAVE REACHED the END of our rewind hip hop!!! Leave a comment here for a chance to win Birdie Inspiration!

10 minute monday- DT CALL & a SALE!

Today we are sharing our quickest cards- My girlfriend needed to borrow a congrats card the other day for a younger boy and I quickly realized I don't have any good general cards on hand-
So I made a set of cards for her and will copy the super quick sketch (I used Jen Bucks CASSB for these!!!!) and make my self some more-

Papers are basic grey, and sentiments are from Lizzie Anne's newest sentiment set- Everyday Sayings (which happens to be on sale this week!!)

This sentiment didn't fit in the other punch, so I opted for an oval, and spaced the circles a bit more-

    same here-

just because I need to have cards on hand!

and I actually made 2 of these- Thank You's are always a good thing to have on hand!
I am going to need to start building up my stash again since my stamping time will be cut down starting Wednesday @ 11:30- SCHOOL's OUT finally! :) many beach days ahead!

a few other things to check out today-
Lizzie Anne is having a MOVING SALE!
and Lindsey is having a DT CALL!

    Confessions of reformed hoarder....

Once upon a time I bought everything and would just hold on to it. Couldn't cut into that new paper, or actually use up all of that ribbon- and the new little embellishments were just for looks- you weren't supposed to actually use them! ;)

And then I quickly learned to use it quick becomes it goes out of style faster than it came in!
That's why I have these rub-ons still- I *had* to have them when they came out- and look- over a year later, I am just cracking into them! CRAZY! I am so done with the hoarding of anything~

Here is my layout for Jen's sketch this week-

I went with an ultra clean and true to the sketch layout- no moving/adding/shifting/turning/interpreting differently. AND i just love how it turned out- the black and white photo with the color popping behind- so clean!

I think I may copy this layout again-

holy smokes...where do the days go?

this week has flown by~ and I am feeling so behind...I had a long list of stuff I wanted to accomplish before both kids were out of school...not going to happen!!!

Here is a quick fly by post for Sharon's stamp simply challenge this week- half circles.

This card uses Lizzie Anne's Bless this nest set- I am feeling a bit different this week- went with a whole 'nother style than I usually do- But I like how it looks!

    have a fabulous weekend!

    hip hip HOP!!

It's another hip hoppin' party kind of day today!!! Today we are celebrating fathers-

First up is a card for the father in our house- done in masculine KRAFT of course! This also works for Jeanne's get krafty with unity challenge- This uses the set Confession and little me-

Next up I decided to make a mini album for my husband- here is the front.

Here is the first few pages- the picture tags pull out.

    and behind the tags-
    the next pages...
and our fave family pic from Disneyland...

the tag picture removed- this was fathers day four years ago- the kids were so SMALL!

next few pages- Jeff teaching Will how to ride a bike, family day at the market-

    and the last page-

Ok- so this last one is for the kids to each write a note to daddy- something that will no doubt take a while! I put lined paper on both sides so each child had a side-

I think I may make another- that was a fun little book to make-

Here are all the sets I used on this - *I think* ;)

    is this thing on???

Some days I do feel as if I am just yammering at myself- which really isn't any different than at home- nobody listens there either! ;)

Here is a fun little card from Lizzie Anne's last release- this is sweets and treats.
(paper is basic grey, ribbon is may arts) since the sentiment read one in a million, i opted to only color in one gum ball. Just another clean and simple card!!

happy hump day- I have a few chores calling my name! Pin It Now!

    Monday Challenge Chicks time!

It's Monday- so all the girls are ready to play! We decided to go with a scalloped baby card-

I went with a scalloped circle shaped card that swings open- Paper is the new OA ducks in a row line. The cute little duck is covered with yellow flower soft.

and here it is swung open- the yellow pattern paper is actually a pocket to hold the little tag, (and or cash if you want to make it be a gift card/money holder)

Here is a pic of the tag out- I stamped the duck in yellow over the sentiment-

that's it- I think i covered both here! ;) have a super Monday- I am gearing up to watch some trashy reality tv tonight- the bachelorette. {my husband SO does not like that show!!} It's like a bad train wreck though, and I just can't wait to see what happens with all the crazies!!

    Scrapping kid of Sunday

Today we are scrapping anything~ Anything goes!! Which is perfect since I have this layout I did for the LAD Newsletter to share-

I really like how it turned out- it used their new father's day single. I used the coluzzle to cut the pink circle and as a template for the piercings in the circular shape. The tree is from Maya Road and paper is basic grey.
The picture is from last year just before my daughter had all her hair cut off- first haircut at 4+ years old!! Now she is gearing up for kindergarten!! ugh, where does the time go???

off to organize my pictures so I can scrap a few more~ Pin It Now!

    a glue dot nightmare...in a pot

things are going to pot! That's this week's stamp simply challenge over at Sharon's blog-

the glue dot nightmare is seen here. I am quite happy with how my card turned out, but, but I have glue dots stuck everywhere on my desk now! I used them to put the flowers and buttons centers together....yikes. It is too hot to work with them I think- they are a bit stringy- very weird.

I went with an actual pot shaped card. The bottom lifts up to reveal the sentiment- not one for the mail though- The flowers are all using a sizzix die and big shot, something that I usually use to collect dust, and thought I would see if has other uses to it. ;)

Remember when uploading to use keyword ssnotime90- and here are the rest--Sharon, Julie, Janine, Jennifer, Tammy, Becky, Deb, and we welcome this month-Sabrina!

have a great weekend~ Pin It Now!

    It's my day!!

Over at the prism blog- Here is a sneak peek of my project.

You can see the rest of it here. Make sure to check out the rest of the guests projects over there- Tami posted one every day this week.
Have a great weekend!! Pin It Now!

holy smokes it hot around here!

Where I live, it doesn't *actually* rain year round like most think, however, it's definitely not sunny year round. ;) So when the sun finally makes it's appearance, we all flock to spend every waking minute outside and take it all in!

This leaves indoor activities, (ie: stamping!) put off until sundown. But even at sundown, it's sweltering in my house! omg, i may invest in AC!

never happy are we? ;) on to the hip hop projects! We are focusing on the June KOM today-

I have been making note card sets lately- nice to have a set. Plus, I am that much farther ahead on Christmas gifts should they still be here come December! I covered my cherries with stickles- paper is Early bird from Cosmo, card stock is PRISMS new simply smooth ivory card stock.

I played along with the sketch challenge for this one- The bee is too cute, and I covered him with yellow flower soft. Makes him fuzzy like he should be. The paper is basic grey's lime rickey, may arts ribbon, & melissa frances buttons.

Here is a close up of the fuzzy thing- love how it turned out! and it's so cheery-
What's your fave image in this kit???

(*This is post 2 of the day* scroll down for Unity's KOM Challenge!)

Woohoo! I am lucky enough to be a part of Flower Soft's inaugural Design Team! This stuff is so very fun to play with!!
Now that the cat is out of the bag about the new team and blog, on to the card!

My card uses the sweet pea mix for the bouquet- it's my fave color right now. I chose the basic grey paper to use with it based on it's colors. The sentiment is from Lizzie Anne Designs Every Sayings set.

Here are the rest of the phenomenally talented ladies-

not ready to start my week yet!

but it's here! It's the first of the month- lots going on today- make sure to stop by Angela's blog for all the deets.
First off, we are announcing our new guest designers for the month of June, and whom else we are adding to the team!! Also, new KOM Guest designer challenge will be up as well here.

For today's challenge, we are going with monochromatic. The monday chicks were wanting to use yellow as well, so I went with that! I used the flowers that got voted off the island and the sentiment friend to friend. It's a bit hard to photograph, sorry!

I used some faux brads as well- it donned on me that some white brads would look good to the right of the main panel after I had it all put together. So I punched out some white pieces of card stock with my larger fiskars hole punch and glued those puppies down!
