First up is a gift tag using the new Love & Joy Labels- I stamped the bird then cut him out, popped him up with foam tape.


Then a quick little card using the Oh Christmas Tree set- Paper is Basic Grey, Wassail, ribbon is SU!, and gems are from MAMBI.

Happy Hip Hoppin Halloween style! Today we are releasing a fun new Halloween themed kit!!
*AND* Today's my sons 10th BIRTHDAY!! We are having our own party here!


I fell back in to a CAS Kraft mode this week...might have been all the assignments I had piled up on me! ;) First here is some Cosmo Haunted paired up with one of the new sentiments that go with the tree.


I covered the candy corn with stickles, and finished it off with black gems from Kaiser.

It's a Halloween kind of day! Today Lizzie Anne is showing some fun new sets! Check out the full set on the LAD blog.

I love Halloween, and I love making cards for Halloween- I knew I would need this set as soon as I saw it! I colored the moon in and covered it with glossy accents for some shine. Some black Kaiser gems finish it off beneath the sentiment.

I flipped the sketch on it's side, I tend to lean sideways some days! I used the new October Afternoon paper, Basic Grey buttons, and October Afternoon rubons.

Today's card is using their new monthly mix- I love the little owl sitting on the tree branch- it makes me smile! the tree branches are stamped on Kraft, cut out, and popped up. wood buttons are from paper trey, and paper is basic grey-lime rickey.

This weeks challenge is to use black and white in your creation to create understated elegance-



While my card my not be elegant- I really like how it turned out! I used the suitcases from my new hodge podge of happiness kit and highlighted them with a C-1 copic. Paper is from DCWV and the rest is pretty self explanatory-

Hip HOP! it's finally here!!!

What's that you say? The customer kit you all voted on in the SCS forums! It's in rubber and it's so fun!

I struggled with which image to use first- I was thinking the books- but went with this one. I love it-paper is october afternoons road map.

And since we had a few Christmas in June themes already going, I continued on with it!
paper is again OA, and the center of the flower is black flower soft.

here is the inside- nothing fancy, just didn't want to leave it black!

stamped background challenge...

here we are for another Monday challenge time-
this weeks challenge was stamped backgrounds. I am guilty of using pattern paper far too much! such a conveniece I guess. Do you prefer stamped or paper, or does it depend on the project?



It seems as if summer is flying by faster than I thought it would. Something going on every weekend, week long training trips for dh, a week long trip to orlando for me...swim lessons every day, VBS this week, a birhtday for my soon to be 10 year old, and daily playdates!- before i know it the summer will be over!!!

So- I went with a quick and easy card- Simple layout, colors, and embellies.
Star background is the promo kit for the JULY KOM- and the sentiment is from last months KOM.

off to the pool, then VBS, then hopefully some r and r time!

I started with this weeks CPS sketch, and tried to keep it simple- the colors and pattern speak well enough on their own. I am in a non kraft using mode lately! Maybe it's the sunny weather that has me using the brights I so desperately try avoid normally!

Even though it is summer, I could use a weekend! DH has been gone all week- we have had swim every day at the crack of dawn, and far too many play dates to count this week.

Easy peasy- who doesn't love a little stickles everywhere! ;) It's a tag- not much easier than this! I started with Kraft base, then added some making memories paper- Alpha letters are Dutch Girl from Cosmo- and the stickles!

Happy Thursday- thursday's are always a fun day- it's the party day over in the Unity forums!

Today we are releasing a new alpha- and I just adore it- i love how fun it is! such a great font!
I tried to use the colors in the paper in my letters- just a bright cheery happy card!

and second up is a thank you card- the best part about alphas- you can place the letters how you like. I went with a little bit a high and low here! I have never been a fan of symmetry. ;)

It's summer- and summer means traveling and vacations right?? So I went with a vacation themed card using NEW RoadMap from OA!



So- the striped paper and the circle paper are from the new Roadmap collection from OA- and the blue strips I stamped from my Unity set. The buttons are Basic Grey- (a mix from a couple different sets)

A Limelight July Project

Whew- what a weekend! We had an amazing weekend out at the beach! Great time- now back to the daily grind for a bit before I head out again!

Mandy at Limelight has graciously asked me to play along with them this month-
So here I am with a limelight project for july!! :)
Her whole crew is doing a stars and or striped project and card- I was still in the patriotic mode so I went with those general colors although not a requirement! My son is always asking for me to make him something- and since red and blue are his fave colors I had to go this route!

First up a little note card for him- he isn't one of those 'hold onto the card forever' kind of kid, so get to the point with him!



I used both stars and stripes on his wall hanging- I used the positive and negative for the 2 L's in his name-
here are some closer pics-
I so wanted to add some bling or sparkle....

but that's just not very "almost" 10 year old boy....so a few brads. but nothing too girly!

The chipboard letters are stamped with the star clouds from Unity's July KOM

nothing too fancy...he will outgrow this quickly I am sure and will be over it and onto something bigger and better!

Happy 3rd of July!
I am gearing up for a nice little weekend out at our beach house, sun, friends, and fireworks!

Today's stamp simply challenge is stars and stripes- I did go with patriotic even though not a requirement!


I used this week's sketch challenge as my starting point. The stars are from this kit, and fit perfectly in my little SU star punch! Not a lot of stamping involved. ;)

hip hop it's JULY!

Happy almost fourth of July hip hop to ya! I LOVE the 4th- we spend it out at the beach house with lots of friends and fireworks! The kids are going crazy waiting!

On to hip hop- this week we are showcasing the kom- I did my first card with the Unity In America set in honor our the upcoming holiday-






I stamped the flag and colored it in with copics- I covered the hearts, stars and stripes with glossy accents- I like the look of the non traditional blue in this-


and here is my KOM card- the SUN made it into a KIT! I was so bummed when it was voted off the island!!! YEA for me though- Now I have it in a KOM!
And this card just makes me smile-bright cheery happy colors!

Flower Soft new products!

Flower Soft DT challenge time- Well- we are supposed to be doing something out of the box with flower soft this month- and this is a little stretch! ;)



They sent us all this new fabulous POLAR WHITE flower soft product that's releasing at CHA and it's SO FUN!!!! We also got these fun card toppers- almost like paper dolls. You can pop the images up as many times as you want- so much dimension on the card, especially once you add the actual flower soft in!

Here is a close up of one of the bears- he has many many layers- I covered his paws with Nut Brown.
Here is a wider angle of all the layers- the polar white is a crisp white just like snow with a little sparkle to it- so pretty!
