The countdown is on! T- 3 days until they are both in school...not sure how excited I am for my baby to start kindergarten...
anyhoo- on to the card- The Monday chicks suggested sewing. Faux or real. My sewing machine and I are not urrently speaking at the moment, so I opted for faux.

I am undecided on this card...didn't turn out quite how I had in my head. The text on the left is from unity's new backgrounds- (check scrap a latte for the new backgrounds) The school house is from the August KOM- last day to sign up for this one!

This card uses the Lizzie Anne set Spooked! It's such a fun set with all the skulls, bats, spiders, and haunted house. I used my Martha Stewart spider punch- added glossy accents on the spiders.

Off to enjoy the last weekend before school starts!

But, every once in a while it's nice to leave. That's this weeks Stamp Simply challenge over at Sharons blog.

So..... no Kraft, no White. no ribbon. no happy bright colors. no pattern paper! ACK!
It's a good masculine card. I stamped my pattern papers and went with a "guy" color scheme.
I scored the light grey layer also, although it doesn't appear to show well in the picture.

A hip hop farewell!

Well folks....the end has come! Hip Hop is in due for a make over and one is a coming! I know some agree, and some are saddened...but you know Angela works! Change is a good thing!


This last hip hop is around the kom- I used my August kit- too many fun images I haven't had a chance to ink up still!! I love this bird and sentiment combo-

And the colors on this card make me happy- flowers are from August, sentiment is from July.

I JUST love Halloween!!!! Can't explain why, I just do! I go overboard on decorations and make more cards than I can possibly send! So...here's another!

It's polka dot time over at Sharon's blog today- I LOVE polka dots!

Instead of going with a huge polka theme...I went with a small patterned piece of paper- it's a new October Afternoon one, but I thought it worked well with my blinged out flowers.
The flowers are the prefect size for the jewels from me and my big ideas and kaiser.

Hip HOP! play hard, sleep hard.

Happy Hot hip hoppin'! It's boiling here this week!!

This week's hip hop is focused around the new scrapping kit Le Chic Vintage.

I went with a mini photo wallet of my darling daughter- She has the most amazing skills which allow her to sleep any where, at any time- as seen in the pictures above. I have others still, so I may add on to this mini album!! paper is Cosmo's new boyfriend line.

Journaling reads- play hard. sleep hard. You could sleep anywhere, and most days you did.

She's not as bad now, but when her head hits the pillow- it's lights out!

we are gearing up for back to school!

first up- I got new rubber in the mail- had to ink it up and play! I used the new vintage ledger background with a sentiment from the KOM and this is the time.

ok- so my words aren't showing up here today...bad blogger!! Here is a raft project my daughter and I did together- it's a kindergarten countdown calendar- (like they make in PS to count down Christmas) She stamped the star in the middle, and I punched it out-
I also used the frame this alpha to spell out Kindergarten. Here she is proudly holding it in front of her bedroom door, where it currently hangs!

Here she is practicing her handwriting on her wipe board I made with the Frame this alpha- (picture below)
and her sassy new haircut ;)
here is my projects from Angela's blog- I took a frame and created the insert using the frame this alpha and come Cosmo paper. I stamped each letter and then punched out for ease of lining up!
Using any dry erase pen, you can write right onto the glass and it erases completely with a dry cloth.

time for some kid friendly cards...

Today we are doing fun cards for kids...I am ALWAYS at a loss on kids cards- and you would think I would have a stash of them- but I don't! So, this new set from Unity will work out perfectly-

And, my daughter has a birthday party this coming weekend, so now, I am ahead of the game!
I stamped the dinosaur onto pattern paper and cut him out, it's all pretty self explanatory- paper is cogsmo- love the happy colors in it.

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays!!!
Although it's not a traditional "card" type of holiday- I make tons of them!!! I deck the house out in spooky stuff galore and love seeing the kids in their costume- it's one of those holidays I will always have more cards than a need!


Here is a simple and quick Halloween card- The bird is covered in glossy accents. Change the colors and orientation of the card and you can use the same layout to make another one!

Happy Saturday- I have been feeling less than 100% all week and am hoping to try and get caught up with rest and sleep this weekend-

This apple image is from LAD's New September Monthly Mix. The stamp is actually all one image, but I inked the apples separately, stamped them and then punched them out. A quick and easy card to send off to school for your child or their teacher.

STAMP SIMPLY CELEBRATES- 100!!!

Happy Birthday cards are on the agenda today for the stamp simply challenge over at Sharon's blog- *AND* it's a party today!

I thought it would be fun to do a birthday card 3 different ways- change your inks/papers, embellies, but use the same basics- I used one sheet of pattern paper, one stamp set, and mixed it up with a few small changes. I have 3 different cards from one stamp session- (a rarity in my house)


First up- a simple masculine in color themed birthday- (layout is from the clean and simple blog FTL51) Going with masculine, I opted for buttons instead of bling, and a very simply ribbon treatment.
next up- (same layout, turned on it's side) bring on the girly! The paper is the flip side of the circles.


and lastly....a simple balloon bouquet (again similar layout). And I have 3 cards for my stash now- I challenge you to make one card 3 ways!

We are going to be starting our simple scrapbook challenges up once summer comes to an end here shortly. We decided to enjoy summer with the kids instead!!

Flower Soft Toppers
