Are you ready?!

For Halloween?? I LOVE LOVE LOVE Halloween! Can't explain why, but it's such a fun holiday! I decided to make a necklace for my daughter to wear this year-



I made one just like this one at CHA this last summer and thought it was such a fun idea! I stamped the ghost from Spooked (Lizzie Anne Designs) with staz-on onto the fragment. I then set it aside to dry, overnight, and covered it with glossy accents and paper on the same side as the image was stamped.

I also did a smaller one with a spider from the same kit. And if you have an extra ball chain, you can make them for any holiday/occasion and just swap them out.
And if you have the fragments with out the pre-punched holes, slap a pin on the back with some zip dry! Pin It Now!

JacksonBelle Tuesday!

today over at the Jbelle blog there is a color challenge-and a sale in the store all week- check out the blog for deets.


For my starting point, I went back to the CAS33- I loved the card used for inspiration and never got to play! For my card today, I used a new Gillian line image from Stampavie. I colored in the cat with my copics and added some flower soft to it's hat. The button is from Basic Grey. I ran the black piece through my cuttlebug- but it's not looking like you can see it!!

Holy smokes...that was a quick turn around! I need weekends to be longer during the soccer season!! ;)

Today we are all doing Christmas cards! YIKES! ARE YOU READY!? 89 days! (there is an app, I don't keep track of that!!)
I decided on a blinged out tree for the upcoming holiday season- hopefully, I will have enough little cards on hand to be ahead by the time it actually is upon us!
This is the oh Christmas tree set from LAD- The sentiment is actually one line, and I inked it up with a marker to make the words fit.

Stamp Simply-Rich Autumn Leaves

I inked up the edges of my cardstock with pti's duo set (can't remember the name!!) and ran the artichoke piece through the cuttlebug-

have you seen my mojo???

I have been feeling mojo less lately, so I have been trying to get some challenges done. Challenges are always a way to help get the juices flowing-

First up- the clean and simple FTL-



I used the FTL60 to start my card- and combined it with the DD Challenge Winged Things.
Stamps are from the Stampin Store KOM. I decided to go out of my normal color comfort zone and not use KRAFT!

Second up in the winged things challenge thinking I used Jen's sketch for you to try. Again, not my normal colors. Purple- ick! insert cat hacking furball noise here! SOOOO not a fan of purple, in any shade! However, I must say I do like this!!!!
{Usually when I play along with sketches/challenges I always forget to link them back up...or even list them!! need to get better at this!} Stamps are from Unity's KOM, paper is making memories.

Monthly Mix featured stamper style!

Happy Hump Day! I am sooooo looking forward to the weekend- even though it's already filled with activities! Today I have a few cards to share from the Lizzie Anne Monthly Mix, a Harvest of Memories.

This card is from the featured stamped challenge on SCS- for some reason...the weekend challenges are far too difficult to work on during the weekend!! I went with this card from tankgrl. I used the little circles to make my own paper, and inked up just one of the leaf trio image. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Making Memories patterned paper.


This next one also uses the same set- I paired the music pattern and sentiment with some paper from DCWV.

New Stampavie!

Time for another Jacksonbelle Challenge- this week we are using up new stuff!!


Since I had this fun little image- I decided on a Christmas card- The stamp is from Stampavie, and ribbon is from May arts. Paper is from basic grey & bling is from MAMBI. I didn't like the way the white ribbon looked, so I colored it with my copic. Instant matching ribbon! And I love how some of the white dots are still there~

on the road again!

well, not really- but hopefully back to normal this week- between kids starting up school and my husband being home alllllll week I am looking forward to a routine starting now!

We had a good week though- built an addition on to our existing deck, had a few birthday's to celebrate, an awesome soccer game- Lauren scored 3 more goals this week! {8 so far this season, not that we are counting!} and some fabulous weather to enjoy! *and* it's supposed to be in the 80's this week!! We are headed off to our local county fair tonight- great day for it!

Summer is still alive and kicking but we are doing thanksgiving this week!!
I went with Natasha's fall to layout again for my card- went horizontal though- stamps are from Lizzie Anne's September Monthly Mix- something to crow about. The letters are popped up with pop dots as are the acorns- ribbon is may arts, button is pti.

Frighteningly Simply!

Sparklin' Pink tree!

Happy hump day! Busy week here...in fact...I cant think of a week that hasn't been busy lately!!


Here is a cas number I did for Lizzie Annes Christmas set-Oh Christmas tree. My pink ribbon appears to be a bit red on the left- weird! I stamped the tree in raspberry fizz and then the bird in green galore. I added a little it of stickles highlights all over the tree- love how fun it is!

For my card today- I used the inkadinkado Scaredy cat! stamps, May Arts ribbon, Basic Grey buttons, and a provo embossing folder. If you look at the inka packaging, I really liked how the cat was turned on it's side and it inspired this layout-

it's my dh birthday today....off to wrap some gifts and maybe whip out a cake!

I {heart} Halloween!

This is NOT the last Halloween card you will see on this blog! We decided to go with a Halloween themed week today-

I covered my card base with gauze strips and added a piece of Cosmo. The mummy is from Lizzie Anne's September single Mummy. Instead of coloring him in, I just highlighted him with a C-1 copic.

Well...we were gearing up for fall around here, rain showers, colder temps, and all that stuff that goes with it....So I made a fall color themed card.
And then summer returns with 80+ temps for the last few days!!!

We are off to Lauren's first soccer game of the season and then enjoying the last of our summer sun!

Le Chic Vintage mini style!

Back at it on a Thursday!! Anyone else feel like there Thursday's are empty now? Maybe because the house is actually empty! Lauren is off in Kindergarten enjoying herself and making new friends! Speaking of school-

I made a mini album for her first day adventures!


Here is the whole book- it's 4 x 6 in size and the book is from Kaiser Scrapbooking. It's a heavy wood like material, nothing like chipboard. I may go back and get more! (Road trip Maren!!!)
Here is her classic on the porch, first day of school shot.

Here is her big brother, so proud, so happy to *finally* have her at school with him!! This is proof when they are teenagers and screaming at each other how much they can't stand each other, that it wasn't always that way!! ;)

Here is her sassy pose, and her buddy Casey walking with them. We live 5 houses down from the school, sometimes this is a good thing.

Here is Casey and her on the playground waiting to line up, and in front of their new room- 202.

Lauren's first official recess! I told her before she left in the morning she would 2 recesses. She thought that it was a "first day treat" and was pretty excited to hear that it will occur every day that way!! Here she is lining up to wait for the swings, and at the flip bar.

Here is the last page of the album- where I will record all the details- age, weight, height, teacher name, etc.

All papers are Jillibean Soup (which is in the scrapbook kit) and all stamps were from Le Chic Vintage.

Friends with flair stamp simply style!

Today is the big day around here! Kindergarten starts today for my daughter and she is just so excited! I am hoping to get lots of pictures and not need any kleenex!
We have what's called a Boo-Hoo breakfast right after we drop them off! And then, I will have the whole day to myself!
yikes!


Today's Stamp Simply Challenge is to overstamp. Easy enough- and I love the out come!

I used Unity's September KOM, some Basic Grey pattern paper, and black papertrey ribbon.

Old habits die hard...

Hip Hop- NOT!
weird. I am certain a few of the other DT gals are also feeling the same way! It has been such a habit for a year now...it may take a while to break! I will still make Thursday my Unity day-

And today is my sons first day of school. FINALLY! after hearing stories (for up to 3 weeks in some cases!) of people being in school....I thought the day would never come! We also have kindergarten orientation today for my baby. eeeeeks. She's so excited she can hardly contain herself. I will take LOTS of pictures!


Onto my card...I thought this topiary would look good covered in Christmas Green Flower Soft. and, I think i like it! The paper is making memories and the sentiment is also Unity- Something Within.
Okay- off to start my school year with PTA meetings and volunteer hours! ;) Pin It Now!

Today we go in to "meet the teacher" and drop off supplies- then one starts tomorrow. Back into the swing of things we are heading! As much as i LOVE having my kids around for the summer, I am ok with them heading back to school! ;)

Autumn mix flower soft style!

wow- September already....School is starting soon and my baby heads off to Kindergarten this Friday- yikes!
First of the month brings a new Flower Soft Challenge- this month, we are focusing on the new Autumn Mix.




I colored the centers of my flowers with a copic, then added glossy accents. I covered all the leaves with the Autumn Mix. Ribbon is May arts, paper is Making Memories.
