Anything goes!

The Monday chicks have been slacking, and we need to get back on the ball of posting! ;) We decided late last night to share an anything goes card- and I was planning on sharing this one, so here you go!

I did this one a while ago for the LAD newsletter- if you get their newsletter, you may have seen this one. The image is from Build a Bauble- and I sprinkled polar white flower soft along the top and on the bottom-You know how when you shake the snow globe and it's falling everywhere!

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving weekend- I managed to spend some time with family, and worked on resting to get over this dang sinus infection!

Speaking of thankful......

It's Stamp Simply time and the challenge is mass production cards- Well.....Thank You's are always a need around here, and since we just had a birthday- my daughter needs to get hers out!
Perfect opportunity to whip out a few cards!

I thought something she could help with would also be appropriate- since they are her thank yous! She loves to use the punches- I opted for brighter colors and non Christmas themed- but you could easily change the papers if need be-

Here is all 3 done in a matter of a few minutes- use your scrap paper & ribbon up also! If you want- you can add more embellishments- but these are the epitome of quick, and CAS!

ready or not....

The holidays are coming! Sorry to have been posting less than normal lately, but I have been struggling with my allergies and kiddos. I officially have a sinus infection, so antibiotics to the rescue! I am hoping to be back to myself in a few days!

My daughter has a short week this week and has been doing better- My hope is that we just get through December and she will hopefully outgrow a lot of her issues by January...(this is wishful thinking!!) Thanks for all of the comments of support and ideas! Glad to hear others have gone through and survived to be normal one day! ;)

in between feeling ok and reallllllly cruddy I managed to whip out a card- I am in CAS mode during the holidays more than usual- Something that you can easily reproduce for mass quantities if need be. I used stamps from Lizzie Anne's November MM Christmas Wishes and the Fanciful Flourishes set. They were meant to work together- look at that flourish on the ornament! ;)

I went over the flourish and ornament hanger with a sakura gelly roll pen for a little sparkle. I have been liking the pleated ribbon look lately, so I added a few pleats to my white satin ribbon.

It's beginning to look a lot like....

Christmas! I cannot believe how fast the holidays are sneaking up on us! I am just not ready for it to come!!
Luckily- today's Stamp Simply challenge is about wrapping it up! To get you a head start on some wrapping ideas for gift giving. I went with a truly simple "genie" gift bag-




I used Unity's Embellished Season and some basic grey paper. I thought with the gold card stock (which is *really* hard to photograph btw!!!) it would be best to keep it clean and uncluttered-

Here is a closeup of the ornament- I colored in the stars with a sakura gelly roll pen- love the sparkle it adds.
I added a few poinsettias to the ends of the ribbons- I colored the white ribbon with my copic to make it green.
I plan on making a bunch of these and throwing some cards and envies inside to make Christmas gifts.

woohoo! it's Thursday!

It's Thursday, my daughter is having a better couple of days, and Thanksgiving is next week!
I can't tell you how much easier my life is when my daughter is crying ALL the WAY to school. I only hope/wish/pray that she gets through this rough patch before the next sub enters our life!!!

Here's a little scrappin' kit action! I was inspired by FTL68. I just love those little circles- they are the perfect border!!

and then here's a little KOM for you- the typewriter is a fun image- I colored it in with some grey copics and outlined it with the bg10. I have been avoiding my beloved copics lately...Because I keep getting the urge to get a "few"more! That can be dangerous this time of year!

It's on!

I just needed to get through Lauren's birthday and I could focus on Christmas....and this past weekend we had her birthday party, so now.....Bring on the holidays!

I am actually ready for Christmas break with the month of school issues we have had! ;)

So I was going to play in the featured stamper challenge, and ended up a little off from the card I cased- not sure if that still counts- It just took on a life of its own!!
I used Lizzie Anne's Deck the Halls-Aren't those hanging stockings adorable!?

It's not my normal color scheme or clean style, so I am still trying to figure out if I like it....

Store Kit Blog Hop!

This has to be one of my favorite store kits yet! (Do i say that every month?)


I decided to ink up the snowman and sentiment- (I love snowmen!) Paired with some jolly by golly by Cosmo and and some may arts ribbon, and I outlined the snowman image with a copic.

Today we are doing matchbook folds- I love doing different folds and never think to do them!


I was able to ink up this image in the Unity KOM finally- I love the sentiment as well-

I SOOOO love this set!

Happy Thursday! Today is all about Unity and we have an AMAZING new release today!

Donna Downey has designed this set, and it has some of the best silhouette flowers in it. I love how versatile silhouette flowers are-

and of course there is that mixed font- love that! I stamped the flowers in a green ink- (memento i think) and the sentiment in rich cocoa. Seems earthy and clean at the same time- I was going to ink the edges up, but I like the crisp clean edge instead.


I am off in a few directions today- my kids informed me that there are only 24 school days left until Christmas! Yikes...when you hear it like that it makes you think you are already behind!!!

Welcome the Creative Cuts and More Mega recipe hop!

Welcome to day one of the Creative Cuts and more Mega Recipe Blog hop! If you didn't come from Holly's blog, make sure to start over at the DieCut Diva blog!
Today we are focusing on the Treasured Family Recipes Kit.

Here is the cover of my book- The paper, letters, rings, book, and die cuts are all from the kit, the ribbon and button are paper trey.

And here is one of the pages- the card stock (red), die cuts, Cosmo die cut, patterned paper strip are all from the kit. The recipe stamp is Unity, and the buttons are thread are paper trey.

Zucchini with dressing
2 lbs Zucchini, partially cooked
2 large carrots, sliced
1 onion, diced
2 cups sour cream
1 can cream of celery soup
1 box Stove Top stuffing Mix
1 cube of butter

Mix first 6 ingredients together. Melt 1 cube of butter and mix in with stuffing. Layer the dressing mix with the zucchini mix in a greased 9 x 13 pan, ending with the stuffing mix on top. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Another recipe I use often this time of year- is artichoke dip- I usually have all the ingredients on hand for any impromptu get together-

1 can Artichoke hearts (not marinated)
1 cup mayo
1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated.

Gently mix together on an oven baking dish and bake for about 20 minutes at 350. Serve with bread or crackers.

Ever have one of those realllllly long weeks? the kind where you are so looking forward to it coming to an end? Me too! My daughter did have a better day yesterday- thanks for everyone's kind words and thoughts! Each day gets a little better.

Thursday's are the best! one more day until the weekend- and here's to me hoping to sleep in at least once this weekend!! It's been a crazy long week!!
My husband is finally back at work and making up for lost time, and my poor 5 year old is having the roughest week ever at school...hoping for a great day today! Wish us luck!!!

For my card- I used some sassafras lass paper, tags, and sticker. I stamped the sentiment from the July KOM. This is one of those stamps- that you use over and over and over- it's one of my faves!

on to the Holiday season!

I had hoped to be much more productive once both kids were in school, but I am not! My daughter is having some major separation issues which we can't seem to nail down and I am at the school what seems like ALL DAY lately! Poor kid, came home with the reddest of eyes today. So, obviously, I am spending a little more time there than at home lately and am not quite as "productive" as I hoped!! :)

So, if you get the Lizzie Anne Monthly Mix newsletter- you may have already seen this. I used the November MM Christmas Wishes.
It's a jarred candle, and in a matter of 10 minutes, (8 if you can tie your bows better faster!) you will have one holiday gift ready to go!

I used some MME Christmas paper and wrapped it around, and also on the lid. Wrapped some ribbon and silver cord, added a tag and- One gift down! It's nice to have a few smaller items, hostess gifts, teacher gifts, anything last minute!!

And since I am all about having no time lately....anything I can do to get ahead!!
