I am so excited I managed to get a layout done to share with you-
I am sure you have heard me say I am working on clearing out my craft room, reorganizing and PURGING. In the process I have found I have way more cards than I could ever use in my life time. I realllly want to get back to scrapping!This is a bit of a clean layout, not too fussy since the paper has so much going on already. I stamped on my photo and next to it with the new Donna Downey stamps She Said. I went over the words 'believe' & 'try' with a clear glaze pen.
and, I have this up for grabs- leave a comment telling me why you do what you do- cards, layouts, etc...

I love to scrapbook to preserve my memories and I love to make cards to show love to family and friends!
i do what i do because i love it, it keeps me sane, it is therapy, it is art, it makes me happy and i love the teaching part of it. i could go on and on............

I love to make cards and layouts because I am not artistic and desperately want to be. When I discovered stamping, I discovered I could be an artist and create beautiful things with the images Unity creates:-)
Simple. gorgeous. and totally elegant! smiles...
I create as an outlet...I figure its either scrapbook my kids CUTE pictures or kill them :) so I choose the lesser of the two evils!!!! LOL
I use paper crafts as my creative outlet. I also love reflecting on the past as I work with my photos and tell my stories.
Your layout is beautiful. I love to make cards and gifts for special people, cuz you can make it theirs and it always puts a smile on their faces. Plus it is a great stress outlet for me. I love escape to my creative side. Thanks so much for a chance at this awesome giveaway. Fingers crossed.

Fantastic layout AJ!!! I love to scrap layouts but with two small children I've been doing a lot of cards lately because they are faster and because I just HAVE to create! Hopefully once the girls get a bit older I can scrap more! Have a wonderful day!
My great-great grandfather was one of the first photographers. We have boxes on boxes of pics....but no one knows or remembers if they were family or clients.
So, scrapping my pics is a way to remember who and what, in the future..
This is beautiful with the perfect amount of extra touches!! The family photo is great and becomes the fabulous focal point. Perfect design!!
I love to surround myself with paper and pens and I have always been like this-the smell of the paper is intoxicating to me!!

So why I do what I do... I make cards for the most part because I need that instant gratification. Scrapbook takes too long for me. I also make home decor items, I do this because I love it!

I make cards for a couple reasons...I love to make people feel special by sending them something handmade for them, I love to create, it is my own personal "get away" time. It makes me happy and peaceful inside!
I love to scrapbook to preserve our family memories. I make cards for challenges and to get in the habit of using my extensive stamp collection. LOVE both aspects of paper crafting!
I take LOSTS of pics and I love to scrapbook...for me it is therapy...a chance to pour my heart out on paper....2nd love is making cards...often including a picture as well.
OH love this AJ.. I live to scrapbook.. no surprise there hehe. I have done some soul searching layouts in the mix it is always good to to document life as it is.. Love your layout!! keep them coming! Xx

What an awesome layout. I started out as a scrapper. But the first time I heat embossed, I was hooked on stamping. I've now gotten away from scrapping & even away from cards and do mostly ATCs. I love the tiny area to deal with and LOVE LOVE LOVE trading them with my friends. I love my friends and each little piece of art from them means sooo much to me.
One day, I AM going back to scrapping. I need to get my kids memories down and, my daughter will be graduating in 3 years; I need to have some albums for her!!
And, thanks to my new Unity/Ippity obession, I am making more cards.
Love the layout! I am a scrapper and cardmaker. I make cards because it is fun and people get something special in the mail. I scrapbook to remember things that have happened and so my kids can have them later.

I love it all, cards, layouts etc.
I do at least 3 cards a week, I mail one weekly to my BFF, my daughter and my granddaughter.
May granddaughter says, "Everytime I get your card I think about you."
Wonderful layout AJ! It's great when you already have paper that has fabulous design and you don't have to add too much more. I create 'cause it's my stress reliever and very relaxing for me. Plus, I get to send these away and hopefully, bring a smile on someone's face.

Adorable layout! I always forget that you can stamp right on the picture! LOL! I started my love of papercrafts by scrapbooking to preserve our memeroies. I then got into card making cause I needed a card! That has led me on a crazy journey of cardmaking. Although, I have found that I make less and less pages now than I used to, so I am trying to even them out more!

i love making cards but when i see great scrapbook layouts it makes me want to scrapbook. i just find it a hassle getting my pics printed. LOL but with 3 little ones, i'd love to preserve all the amazing memories.

I luv making cards, LOs, tags and off the wall projects! Wish there was enough hours in a day to indulge but I do try my best!

I love to scrapbook/make mini albums to tell the stories of the memories that make up our lives. But cards are fast becoming a passion. They've changed so much in the past 4 years more layering like a scrapbook page not just stamping on cardstock. I do make lots of cards & I know what you mean about not being able to use them all myself... I solved that by sending a lot of them to OWH (blank cards for soldiers) & even selling quite a few to church members & at craft fairs. A way to fund my stamp/paper habit lol

Beautiful layout in today's post! I like making card sets because it is fun and relaxing. Then, it's "double" joy because I get to give away the set as a gift. Then, its "triple" joy because I know they brighten someone's day by sending a card I made. I just love those "full circle" kinds of things....

I can't quite understand why I have no problem making hundreds of cards a year ... but somehow can't manage to get 'em in the mail?!?
I do cards since they are quick and I like sendng something tangible in the mail that says fun before you ever open it.

All I can say is that I need to create things and be creative or I go buggy - lately it's been cards instead of scrapbooking because I can accomplish something faster.
I love being creative. Designing a lay out or card always makes me feel amazing!
