I have another funky Birthday card today-
I decided on a little big of a loud and funky card today- not my normal cleaner styled card...and I think I like it! The cake is paper pieced, and the word cake is colored in with Copics. I added BIG drops of stickles on the candles to add a little sparkle.
And there is NO ribbon... not a usual happening around thees parts! ;)

i also prefer making funky cards for birthday because it's the best party reason! funky cards are like a party on a card! lol!

What a wonderful card you've made here!! Love the paper piecing on the cake! I don't miss the ribbon, but I find myself also always adding ribbon to my cards, ha ha!! Most of my friends don't know any of these techniques yet, so I love to surprise them and make them wonder how I did things! ;-) I like to use images on the bday cards, that are not meant to be for a bday.
I had a look at your previous cards as well, sooo nice, love how you use the cork! Such a wonderful masculine bday card! Somehow your posts don't pop up in my Google Reader as new ones... so I don't see if you posted something new... Good thing there's this Bloghop!! I'm happy to see what you created!

wonderful card AJ.. I love making photo cards for Birthdays.. if it is for family or friends.. I love adding a photo of themselves somewhere. a little personal touch. Most of the time I just keep it simple.

My favourite birthday card is hand made ones from my 5 and 3 year old boys. They are awesome - and there is always a story with each one.

I love making a three layer Double Chocolate fugde cake!!! Yum !!!! Then taking a large slice and a glass of really cold milk and watching Law and Order. PERFECT!!!!
I like to make birthday cards that speak to the individual, so for my mom, it would be pink and flowery. If I can make it sparkle or shimmer, all the better for me. If I can make it funny, that's the best.

My favorite type of birthday card? Fast and easy-- because I am the world's biggest procrastinator and I always wait until the last minute! I actually made several in advance once and then couldn't find them in my craft room!! Does that mean I need to clean it?

I love this card - I love to make multi-layered birthday cards with all kinds of sayings and images i know the recipient will love. Lots of embossing is always a requirement for me:-)

That's such a fun birthday card! I try to match the birthday cards I make with the recipient's personality--like by using their favorite colors, or making the theme of the card something they like. If I don't know, then I use bold colors and foam dots to pop presents off the page. Thanks for the chance to win!

I love your card. It looks like a celebration! I make a a lot easel cards for birthdays, so they can be displayed.
I prefer to make birthday cards for my girl friends 'cause I tend to gravitate to flowers!
