Never a good card to have to make, but to have on hand, not a bad idea.

Again, I used the Best Wishes and blooms set. (I used this last week also) And this layout is one from a while back as well, I think it may have been a FTL. I stamped the rose with white on the avocado and used a gem in the center of one. Very clean and simple.

Today I am tearing down the book fair, my husband comes home tonight, and I have some serious cleaning to do this weekend! Lots to clear out and get rid of-I have to do an overhaul of my craft space- it's a nightmare. I am going to be getting rid of A LOT of stuff that hasn't seen the light of day for a while now! Wish me luck!

Unity Thursday's!

Happy Thursday! I am soooo relieved today is here! It's been a long one....

Last FULL day of the book fair, after my tomorrow morning session, I can close it down!


For my card today, I use the February KOM. While I had this idea in my head, it was much more appealing, now I am not so sure I am liking it! Doesn't it always work out that way?? ;)

I pleated the ribbon around the spellbinders circle and it seems to look like a blue ribbon from some baby shower now! What do you think? Should have tried it in red maybe...

This KOM is going to be a TOUGH act to follow...I think it's one of the best we have had yet!

It's SOOOOOOOO Fresh and new!!!

It's a yukky rainy day here. Good day to stay in the craft room and create!
And, I received my newest Take Ten mag in the mail the other day, and can I just say....WOW!!!

They have done a remodel on the mag, and it's sooo fresh and new inside and out! They have awesome new close up details shots now, and new articles and features-


I am of course, a tad partial since those are MY CARDS on the front! :) It should be hitting news stands soon, I think you will be pleasantly surprised with it's fresh new design!

Good Tuesday Morning! Short post- I am off to work with book fair all week!

I love the sentiment from this Lizzie Anne Designs set- Spring Rain. I decided to use some new Cosmo and a funky layout- I love things that hang off my card!! Not sure why, it makes me happy- must be the non conformist in me!! ;)

GOOOOOD morning!!! I am sooo not a morning person, but it's just so sun shiney here lately you can't help but be in a good mood!!

The monday chicks are doing a Red, White, & Blue themed card this week since Ms. Amber is stateside this week and enjoying some shopping time in Nashville with Ms. Jessica!!

My card uses the LAD Monthly Mix Lucky You. I also went with another try at the EBTKS challenge again- love the layout! *and* Julie's amazing flower tutorial as well- and in Julie's honor, I decided to add a layer of denim to my card since she uses denim so well in all of her creations!

Unity Thursday

Happy Thursday- I LOVE a short week! Tomorrow is friday already!!!!

I made a few cards to share- I started a layout...but the lure of the horizontal position and some 'must see tv' won the battle in the ongoing discussion in my head. ;)


First up a fun card using the Sports Squares set- I followed the Everything but the Kitchen Sink challenge for this week and this is what I came up with...I cut the soccer ball out and popped it up, and colored with some sakura pens for a glaze and sparkle.
Soccer season is about to start up again...I could realllly use some warmer weather before we are stuck outside again any time soon!!

Next up is an image from the KOM- I just adore that sun shaped cloud! The paper is from American Crafts, and since getting some of their new paper in this week, I am feeling a little less like hoarding it! ;)

Finally- I am not sure what Axel is doing...He is definitely NOT a fan of this pattern! ;)

A sketch and a hop!

Back to school for us today- whew.
MAYBE I will accomplish something productive today! or not...I feel a cold coming on...However, my layout for the spellbinders contest is done, finito, completed, and in the mail. I started it and then ended up redoing the WHOLE thing! however, I LOVE how it turned out :)

Today is the LAD design team challenge-

We are all using this weeks sketch for our challenge- instead if 3 little somethings in a row- I went with a bow. ;) The three little somethings can be the left loop, the knot, and the right loop!


I used some new Cosmo paper and the Lizzie Anne set Spring Rain.

For the inside of my card, I used the flower from Spring rain, and then a quote from Card Quotations.

I am going to head on down to the kids school and get started on some book fair stuff...I planned out this book fair only to find out my husband will be gone the whole week of it! Looks like it's a take out kind of week! ;)

birthday wishes for you!

we are home today for one more sleeping in sort of day! The kids have mid winter break here, and even while we have had warmer weather than the rest of the country, I don't mind the break! ;)
back to the daily grind tomorrow!
For my card today-

I used the sixlet Banner Birthday from Lizzie Anne Designs for this one- paper is from Sassafras. I decided to paper piece the present using the same pattern. I use the reverse side for the flower and then covered it with a sakura pen for a little sparkle.

Today is the brand spankin' new release for ippity- and in honor of their second release- I whipped up a baby card using one of their new kits!

*eta: I am told that each of use get to pick a prize for one of our commenters today- I will pick one tonight and post in the forum for an Ippity kit of your choice!

For my card today, I used some of that super fab Cosmo Cricket paper- I stamped the sentiment on cream, and then again on the yellow polka dotted paper. I cut out the letters and popped them up-
I just LOVE that sentiment- it's my fave of the whole release!

This month's Stampin' Store kit Life is Fabulous, has some great sentiments- (I am all about the sentiments!!) I love this one I used because it can be used on you mini books and or smaller layouts as well-
I inked up my butterfly with a lighter orange and then went around the edges with a darker orange.

It's Thursday!

And I have been working on Valentines...only a few more days to get yours done!

I made a few 3x3 note cards to have on hand- these are going in lunches or back packs. ;)

These were all made using the lovely bits & baubles set. Hats off to Lisa with this one!

first up is a group photo-

and the second half of the group- I am thinking I like the little glassine envie one the best-

I just got these teeny tiny envies- and the circle pulled out a bit to read the sentiment.

not sure what it is about the Kraft, red, & white combo I love so much...must be the kraft!

*AND* I couldn't not share a new puppy pic- THIS is what keeps me from being productive during the day- if he wasn't sleeping in my office, I could clean it! ;) And if my office was clean, I could find stuff and be more productive...Yep- it's definitely his fault! ;)

Happy Hump day! I have some fun stuff to share today-

First up- a fun little card using a new Unity Kit released at CHA-



it's a simple little card- but I just love that puppy- must be our new little guy! ;)
I used my trusty copics to color the ribbon the shade of blue I wanted- and used some score tape to make the pleats.

And I am super excited to share this with you all!!!!!

This is my first cover- and it's soooo dang pretty also- they did a phenomenal job on it! I can NOT wait to see the rest! Make sure to check it out- It hits the stands March 1st!

and I am pretty slow on all of this social networking stuff- but I finally signed up for twitter account...I am *trying* to figure it out- thanks to all my friends who are teaching me as i go!

We are in full Valentine mode here- which consists of my daughter writing them out herself this year- I of course, make one for my husband each year, which he stores in his sock drawer!
My son is beyond the class party age, so scratch that one off the list to do!


I had wanted to use that heart flower image from last months Monthly Mix From the heart and finally inked it up-
I got this fun sequin ribbon and had been waiting for the right project to use it on- I wanted it to add just a bit of pop, but not have it go overboard!

It's a cas card, but with some flair! ;)

nothing but blue skies

It's Unity Thursday- and I have a NEW KOM card today-
I seriously love each of the images in this months kit...and I love how each fabulous image has a great sentiment, (or 2!!) to use together!

What is your favorite image in this kit? I am leaning towards the rainbow or sun cloud myself!

I stamped the bird on blue cardstock and added stickles to the flower centers-
It's clean and simple, but not at the same time- and no Kraft! ;)

and here is a little puppy love- this dawg has got it GOOD! (he's about to fall back to sleep here!)

and instead of laying on the dog bed, my daughter has him lay on her lap while she lays IN the dog bed. sheeesh. I should be a pup! ;) Last night he started to finally come out of his shell with our other dog and play puppy like- it was a bit comical to watch this 5lb pup take on a 65lb dog!

Hi friend!

Another quick post sort of day-
I am in need of a bit more coffee to function lately...puppies don't sleep like normal people do! I am headed out for my monthly allergy shots...oddly enough, one of which is for dogs!

today's card uses the Lizzie Anne Designs Monthly Mix- Singing in the rain. (yea, again!) and some of the new BG paper.
It's another pretty basic design, but I am liking those these days! ;)

February here we come!

Happy February first! New month means lots of new stuff- everywhere!

First up- Unity Welcomes Latisha Yoast as our Guest Designer for this month!!!!
She was one of the first gals I remember hanging in our forum, and I am glad she is hanging with us thing month!


second- quick card for ya! I used the FTL76 for this one- and kept it pretty basic, and true to the sketch. This is a great quick card layout for making Valentines!
This card uses the fabulous lovely bits and baubles- (find it at a retailer near you!), and MME paper. I thought it needed a little something- so I added the clear button to the flower.


so- we got our puppy- great weekend- NO problems whatsoever! No accidents, (well, there was the glossy accents incident...) kids are learning the dog needs to be watched at ALL times!!! Lesson learned here- glossy accents makes puppies foam at the mouth! ;)
He LOVES to be cuddled and may actually become atrophied at some point if the kids don't put him down soon!!!
