Stamp Simply time!

Welcome to another round of FWF and Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge!

Today's Stamp Simply Challenge is to make a 3-D flower- how easy these are to do!!
Head on over to Sharon's blog to read all the details and see her fabulous sample.

I kept my card super simple- my flower is some older basic grey paper. I made my 3-D flower using my spellbinders nestabilites dies- I cut out several at one time and layered them on top of each other to make my flower. You could easily fancy it up with more layers, and glitter if you should choose. ;)

Anyone is welcome and invited to play! SCS Keyword is ssnotime137 for those who upload at SCS. There is no time limit. You can play this challenge anytime at all. The point is to keep it simple, quick and have fun!

Just a tad off...

In my seasons! Halloween is just around the corner though...right? ;)

One of the really fun things we learned at the Spellbinders retreat last week in Arizona was how to emboss your die cuts with your impressabilities. The circle was die cut, then embossed with the circles impressabilities.

Can you see where everything but the little edge is embossed- such a great way to add texture.
Gina K has some videos she is sharing using some techniques with the impressabilities as well- check them out here!

have a great weekend- we have a jammed packed one- track, soccer, and a birthday. Somewhere in the I plan on sleeping in as well! ;)
enjoy!

Welcome to another round of FWF and Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge!

Today's Stamp Simply Challenge is to make a joy fold card. I went with simple- ( this is stamp simply! ;) and changed it up a bit- (I altered the joy fold so that it's actually just a normal fold)

Head on over to Sharon's blog to read all the details and see her beautimous sample.

This paper (BG) is definitely older, but I JUST love the colors together- they are just so fresh and springy. I stamped the butterfly from Unity's August 2008 KOM, (WOWSERS, that's an OLD stamp!) and then the sentiment is from this months.

How often do you pull out your older stamps?? ;)

and here is my card using her sketch. My colors are soft sky and barely banana- (for you SU! folks that still have piles of BB around- here's your chance to use them up!! ;) I also used Spellbinders labels one, and standard circles dies. TGIF!

Welcome to another round of FWF and Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge!

Today's Stamp Simply Challenge is all about Graduation or Year end treats- (this is definitely subjective) This includes year end thank you's for your children's teacher as well- this is the route I went.

Head on over to Sharon's blog to read all the details and see her amazing sample.

Two cards in one week using my new Bloomers! I would say I am definitely over my hoarding issues! ;)

My card uses the Pink Paislee paper 365 degrees. It's my favorite of their new line!
I used labels nine, and stamped the sentiment from Inside and Out. The pearls were white, so I colored them with my copic to better match the bloomers.
Hope you like-

enjoy!

hip hop!

Hip Hoppin the day away with another Unity Thursday-
Make sure to head on over to the Unity blog to see all the deals and specials!

My card for today uses the stamps from Inside and Out. I stamped the sentiment onto some October Afternoon paper and wrapped around the ribbon into a big bow. I highlighted the word Friend with a clear gelly pen. The star is from Stylin' Stars, and is stamped, cut out and popped up.

enjoy and make sure to stop on over at the next blog!

i thank you

I was finally able to get my hands on some of those *yummy* bloomers from Webster's pages...and Latisha made me promise I would use them and not hoard them. So, I busted one out for today! :) One.

I stamped my sentiment from Inside and out onto my white circle cut from the standard circle nestibilities then layered it onto the pink paislee patterned paper cut using classic rectangle nestibilities.

I will admit, it was hard to make that initial first cut into the pretty ribbon, but I managed to get the job done!

enjoy your day! Pin It Now!

sassy!

I shared this on the Unity blog last week, but thought I would share here as well.
I have always loved scrapping- the instant gratification of card making won me over though! ;)

And as I decided I like the less is more look, (plus- I couldn't pull off anything else if I tried!) I realized that I could get scrapping again. Not that I would *ever* get caught up...I have more pictures than storage allows and if my pictures were cats I would for surely get locked up in some sort of mental institution, key to be never seen again. ;)

make sure to head on over to the Spellbinders Blog for the International GUEST BLOGGER Contest announcement today! Pin It Now!

April 5, 2010

you are cordially invited...

to join in on our weekly color challenges {with a twist} over in the Unity forum on SCS!!
We kick off the first one today using the colors Pomegranate, Tangerine Tango, & Caramel. The {twist} is ruched ribbon

I used Unity's new Soirees and Such for my card- love that set!
The idea is to inspire you, and for you to play along as you see fit- don't get hung up on the colors, if you don't have those EXACT ones- improvise! Use them as a general guide. ;)
(This weeks colors use SU! names, that will not be the case each week- just happened to work with the colors we had this time)

You all asked for more Unity challenges- so now....each week we will post a new color challenge {with a twist} for you to try!

Make sure to upload using keyword USCCC01 (that's a zero, not the letter "O")

Some of the Monday chicks may be playing along as well- Amber, Jeanne, & Jimmi Pin It Now!

I survived!

Spring break that is! :)
The weather was less than favorable this week, which led to LOTS of in home entertainment!!

Today's Stamp Simply Challenge is all about Chipboard- thanks to Janine!

Head on over to Sharon's blog to read all the details and see her amazing sample.

I went with a definite less is more look- I used the Pebbles impressabilities on my kraft layer, and then my new punch for the fun scallop. The sentiment comes from Unity's new Inside and Out set.
And the KEY ELEMENT of chipboard is from the letterhouse collection of American Crafts.
