Stamp Simply time- FWF and blog candy winner

Welcome to another round of FWF and Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge!

Today's Stamp Simply Challenge is the colors of your Country's Flag. Mine happen to be: red, white, & blue. Head on over to Sharon's blog to read all the details and see her fun samples.

I opted for a less traditional red, white, & blue color scheme though. The paper is Pink Paislee. I added a bit of ruffled ribbon behind the main blue panel. The die is Spellbinders™ S4-248 Labels Thirteen. (Just came in the mail, had to give it a whirl! ;) Stamps are from the new kit She by Donna Downey for Unity.

I am so excited I managed to get a layout done to share with you-


I am sure you have heard me say I am working on clearing out my craft room, reorganizing and PURGING. In the process I have found I have way more cards than I could ever use in my life time. I realllly want to get back to scrapping!

This is a bit of a clean layout, not too fussy since the paper has so much going on already. I stamped on my photo and next to it with the new Donna Downey stamps She Said. I went over the words 'believe' & 'try' with a clear glaze pen.

CAS Copic coloring

It's another cas card- and small. I love these little odd shaped cards- this one is 3.5 x 4. I taught a copic class the other day and this was one of the images we were using to color, so I figured finish it off into a card. ;)


The image is from Unity and the text background is also from Unity. The die is Spellbinders™ S4-255 Big scalloped rectangles large.

I am hoping to spend the day crafting some how...I have a million pictures that are itching to be plastered onto a layout or two! ;)

the countdown is ON!

The end of school is near...and in just a few short weeks, they will be home for the summer and I am thinking my days will be just a tad less hurried!
I definitely would love to see some summer weather as well. I think we are still getting a bit of winter like weather around here and I am done with it!

and with the end of school approaching, that means that Father's day is also nearing us!

I have a few cards ready for Fathers day now- which is nice considering there are dads, husbands, father in laws, etc who all get one. I haven't yet decided who gets which one though! ;)

This is one I made a while back and haven't managed to share yet- It uses Unity's Noteworthy Occasion set.

Guy cards can be a bit challenging sometimes- you think- ribbon, no ribbon; buttons, no buttons...etc. What do you think?

For my card, I went ahead and tried the SCS tute on the rolled flowers. I usually just layer circles for fun flowers, but this is a nice alternative and much more 3D! My card is super sparkly from my glimmer mist, Stamp is this months KOM, paper is MME, and of lastly, Spellbinders™ Dies.

Well...I am still going through boxes and piles of stuff. I can only do a little each day, so it does seem like a never ending task of cleaning and purging...

I did manage to whip this out last week- I made it for the pc mag call and it was a big fat reject...so here I share with you! ;)


I used my trusty Unity noteworthy occasions set and my Spellbinders™ dies. Paper is MME and the gems are Kaiser.
Thank you's are always good to have on hand, right?

It's book fair week...so most of my time is spent at the school this week, I can't believe how little time is left until summer break! I am looking forward to some fun road trips with the kids!

I love summer!

Well, I do. I just wish it would come and stay. We have had beautiful weather, and then today- rain. All week fore cast- RAIN. blech.

Anyhoo...The Monday chicks are all doing summer cards....and this is pretty wiiiiide open to interpretation- My anniversary is in the summer, so there you have it- a love themed summer card. ;) open to interpretation I tell ya! ;)

The stamps are GinaK Designs and the paper is My Minds Eye. It's one of those simple easy layouts that I often use over and over!

whew...

So- I haven't fallen off the face of the earth- I have been swamped with life! You know- kids, sports, school, homework, and SPRING CLEANING. The last of which is kicking my butt!

I do have a fun little card using Unity's newest release Going Retro.

I used some My Minds Eye Quite Contrary paper, and my Spellbinders™ dies. (the red stripe paper is just the backside)


and THIS is what has been keeping me from posting...I can't find my desk tops any more so I am on a HUGE PURGE of spring cleaning! I have more stuff than I could ever use in one life time!

I think that the PC box is full paper! ribbon, chipbaord pieces, stamps, stickers, blah blah blah! I think I will have to have blog candy again soon for my followers-


this is only like 1/8 of the stuff I have boxed up to go! Really need to find a GOOD home for it all! any takers?

Well...In my post yesterday I asked what type of cards do you struggle with? I would have said feminine yesterday, but I LOVE how my card turned out! *(That's the point of a challenge I guess, right?!)
I used my new Big Scalloped Rectangles to create the card base, and my new favorite tags 5- both from Spellbinders™
I stamped the word mom out using the new Alpha from Unity's May KOM- LOVE that!

This is not my normal style- but don't ya just {love} that winged woman image from the new Unity Scrappin' kit BRAVE GIRL?!?!?!

I ran out of the right colored brads, so I colored my silver ones with my copics.

New KOM stuff! Some of the sentiments are meant to fit inside the label shape!

more KOM stuff! such a fun image! This could make a great kids card imo-my kids love to roller skate- although my 6 year old prefers inlines...I would fall on my rear! ;)

and more from the brave girl kit- those birds are awesome!!

Just Bee'cause

I needed some me craft time. Ya know- the type where you make something because you want to? Just for fun and to unwind after cleaning ;)

I used the new Garden Variety set from Cosmo by Unity, (would link you up, but the site is down!)
For some reason I went with an out of the norm color combo for me-

pink, grey, & vanilla. A touch of yellow for his wings which I colored with an atyou spica pen to sparkle!

Have you stamped on vellum lately? Funny how things come and go. Vellum used to be so often used, but lately, it's so very forgotten. It makes for some cute wings though! ;)

CAS Spring card

Today is a Thank God it's Monday sort of day for me- I managed to get sick last week and wasted about 3 days in bed! So ready to get back at it and into my routine!

The Monday's chicks are doing spring cards and I managed to incorporate the Unity Color challenge with a twist into mine as well!

The colors are green, yellow, and orange. The twist is CAS. ;)

I am quite fond of CAS- lets limit the layers & embellishments on these!

I used Basic Grey's Lime Rickey for my orange, green, & yellow if that helps you with color matching.

Remember to use keyword USCCC03 when uploading to SCS-
