happy for you...

Happy Monday-
We took a week off last week and went for one last hurrah camping in Eastern Washington!
Great times- we had a ton of fun and are now home and getting ready to think about starting school!!!

Here's a fun card using Gina K's Hugs & Prayers with the sentiment from Botanicals.

I really like the silhouette styled flowers in this set!!  And you can never go wrong with red and Kraft!!

Today we are enjoying one last family day together before they head back!

Hip Hop!

Hip Hop here folks!

We are out enjoying the weather this week before school starts!

I decided to use the June KOM for my card today.  I love that bird image!!  I didn't think the hearts quite fit the theme I had, so I omitted them.  The back ground is distressed dots.  Ever since Sharon introduced this yellow/ green combo I haven't been able to stop using it!

Make sure to head yourself on over to Shemaine's blog next!

Pleated Ribbon - Today's challenge is to use pleated ribbon in our projects.  I LOVE pleating ribbon- this was no challenge for me!  ;)

*first up*-Judy - Email me (at the right) you are the winner from yesterday! :)

I have been trying not to post too many Halloween projects using these images from Samantha Walker, but I may not be able to hold out for much longer!!  I love crafting for Halloween!!!  The sentiment came from this set.  My smallest Classic Rectangle Large Nestabilities fit the sentiment perfectly!
For a pop of color I decided on orange pleated ribbon.

What's your favorite holiday to craft for?

the countdown is on!

We are in our final few weeks of summer here...Trying to enjoy every minute of it!
We decided to take an impromptu trip out to the beach over the weekend and enjoy the sun, and cool off in the water...It's been scorching hot for us here!!
and with little trips like that-stamping has definitely taken a backseat lately!

So...here's a semi quick card using some of most used Unity stamps!

I used my new Lacey Squares dies and stamped the sentiment from the Noteworthy occasion set.  The background is the worn grid, and the flowers are from the Donna Downey set Insightful Meadows.

I think today it's going to cool down to the high 80's, so hopefully we are not as miserably hot as this past weekend...

enjoy!!

Store kit hop-

Or more like the Store kit post!  No more hopping, just one stop at the Unity blog and you can see it all!!

I still like to share here just in case you missed Ang's blog-

This awesome school kit is going to be used every year now!!  I am not so organized with my pictures and as I go through and find the first days and concerts, and all those types of pictures, I can simply keep adding them to my book.

Here is my son, last day of 1st grade.  He was sooo excited to move up and be an elder!  (we had K/1/2) rooms back then.  And, once I find his first day pic, I can make that page next!  And so on.  I kept this at 6 x 6 and can just put them in my book as I get them done.

we are off to enjoy the beach- summer has finally arrived here in the PNW....soaking it all up before it moves on!!

Stamp Simply, FWF, & a winner!

It's another stamp simply challenge today!

Head on over to Sharon's blog to read all about it!

ssnotime152 - Ribbon Scraps -  I think we all save even the tiniest of our ribbon scraps-Today's challenge is to use ribbon scraps on our card or project.  You may use as many as you want, just make sure it's a scrap, a small piece.

*first up*- Ginny- Email me (at the right) you are the winner from yesterday! :)

I haven't been able to create as much this week as I would like to...But I definitely love this card today!! ;)  I am always in need of birthday cards, and this just came together so quickly.  The paper is the new Togtherness from Cosmo, and the die is the new S4-294 Beaded Ovals from Spellbinders™.
The stamp is Unity, of course,  from the It's your day set.

I used a scrap of summer sunrise (I think) ribbon and folded it over to make a ribbon tab.  I save any piece of ribbon that is over about 1" because they make perfect tabs.  I have an candle jar I toss them all in and go through it whenever I need it!

I am teaching bad habits to little ones now...

;)  My daughter *loves* to craft with me.  We have moved in a table into my office solely for her to use.  It's all organized and nice and neat looking.  Maybe she can organize my space for me soon! ;)

Here is a picture of her coloring in bed with my copics... She kept asking for more images to color...she LOVED it!
Looks like I may have a good excuse to buy more copics!!

here's a quick card for you to enjoy also-
a little Melody Ross brave girl.  I have been loving the sky blue/orange/purple combo for some reason lately-

we are off to run errands and wait for my new little niece to be born- I think I'm going to be an aunt today!!! My SIL is going in at 0'dark thirty to be induced, and while I know these things take time...she's a week over due now and we are all excited!!

Stamp Simply time- FWF and blog candy winner

HAPPY FRIDAY!

 first up-Emily Keaton
email me- (at the right)
you own blog candy from yesterday!
Also-It's Stamp Simple time
Head on over to Sharon's blog to read all about it!

One Layer Cards - Today’s challenge is brought to us by Barbara Anders and here is what Barbara says: I’m challenging everyone to make a one layer card. That means only the card base–not the base + one other layer–no layers allowed, LOL! Embellish however you want–ribbon, buttons, bling, scoring–anything goes, but no layers!

And this is actually not my favorite card...I used to think I LOVED OLC...but I kept wanting to add layers to this!!  Not a LOT, but a a few.
The stamps are from the Samantha Walker retro road trip set.  I used some pti ribbon,  my trusty nestabilities, and copics to color it in.

WOW!

Where has this summer gone!?!  August 2nd already!!

We had a fabulous weekend, and now the kids are off to a Summer Science camp this week down at their school...My son is pretty excited to be able to build and engineer some fun stuff!

also, finally a card I have been waiting to share for a while now, but needed the CHA releases to be shared first!

I am not sure what it is about this card, but it's so cheery...Maybe it's the yellow background, or the fun retro road sign sentiment (by Samantha Walker) or the pop of red...not sure... but I like it!

The Spellbinders™ is the new S4-292 beaded circles.  Paper is Cosmo, and the ribbon is May Arts.

I am off to help down at the camp for a bit and then clean...the house had a small tornado come through during CHA prep... ;)
