Happy Friday!

Friday means Stamp Simply & FWF!

Also, Unity has a brand new Guest for October & December, make sure to pop on by Julie Lacey's blog today and see what she has in store for you!

Onto the challenge- Three is the number!   Today’s challenge calls for us to think in 3’s.  Your project should incorporate 3 panels (as in background panels) OR 3 images (as in the focal point).

I decided on three squares cut with my Spellbinders™ dies for my 'three'.  I have a few brand new Samantha Walker sets and this Fall Family Memories one is just perfect for this time of year!

On the first panel I stamped the smaller leaves in tea dye ink.  The second panel has the framed leaf image stamped in curry, cut out, and popped up with foam squares.  I also stamped the circle strip repetitively across in rows behind the main panels.

Anyone is welcome and invited to play!  SCS Keyword is ssnotime159 for those who upload at SCS.

I thought when the kids went back to school things would die down around a bit around here.
So, when is that going to happen??

Anyone one else have that issue??   Please just lie and tell me what I want to hear!   ;)

I have been itching to get busy with making Halloween projects, and am finally at it!  This is the Samantha Walker set Halloween Traditions.  The paper is Cosmo, and the die is the new S4-295 Lacey Squares and the Classic Squares LG from Spellbinders™.

I stamped the pumpkin onto the Matilda paper, cut it out, and popped it up on foam dots.  That fabulous web image fits *perfectly* inside that die!!

The ribbon is just black tulle.  Instead of making fun Halloween cards, I have been working on treat like items instead- then I can fill them up and drop them off with my girls friends...and when I am too behind to send them a Christmas card, it won't seem as bad since I remembered Halloween, right?

Flip Flop!

Hip Hop Flip Flop!

If you haven't noticed, we have swapped out spots with the Ippity girls and the Unity team is using Ippity today!!

Woo HOO! I *finally* managed to get a Hip Hop Sketch challenge done!  This is for HHSC26.

I used the Burlap background on the blue and yellow, and a back ground image from Authentic Man by {ippity} on the green and red strips.  The card and sentiment is also from the Authentic man set.

Next up I was feeling festive and pulled out some older Cosmo.  That bird on the fence was screaming Haunted to me- It totally reminded me of that line!  This is the Totally Happy set from {ippity}.

I cut a circle nestabilities and stamped the fence in tea dye ink and used a marker to color in the bird on the stamp prior to stamping.  The ribbon is May Arts from the Stamp Simply store.

I love being able to make holiday projects using non holiday stamps....

and if you are interested in winning this...leave me a comment telling me your favorite way to turn NON holiday images festive!

Make sure to head yourself on over to Shemaine's blog next!

Happy Birthday!

Well...After last week I would have thought I would be done with birthday cards...but have another quickie to share today-

The sentiment is from Gina K's candles on your cake set, and the paper is new MME, not sure of the name of the line...sorry!  The die is Labels four from Spellbinders™.

Pretty basic card, and quite easy to whip out in a birthday emergency, which is usually when I end up actually making cards!  I do hope to have a small stash built up now! ;)  I am excited to move into Halloween projects! I LOVE Halloween!!

Tomorrow is a extra special hip hop...make sure to stop by!!

a little Grand Nestabilities show and tell....

Happy Monday all!!

Over the weekend I managed to get a hold of the WHOLE new line of Grand Nestabilitites™!  I thought a small picture show would be helpful to show just how "grand" they are! ;)

So here they all are in all of their glory- there are currently 8 different Grand Nestabilities

I decided to pull out the LF-190 Labels Four Grand Nestabilities to do some side by side comparisons...
here you can see the "Grand" set on the left, and the regular set on the right and a regular A2 sized card front for some perspective.
For those of you who haven't heard of these yet- the Grand Nestabilities start of where the largest of the regular sized ones leave off.

Here is the LARGEST of the regular nestabilities on an A2 card.

And again, that same largest regular one on the card front-

Ok- so here I have a FULL sheet of card stock- 8 1/2 x 11 in size.  That is the largest of the Grand Nestabilities on it- The new Grand Calibur accepts a full sheet of cardstock with out trimming.
I have so many ideas brewing already- out side of the obvious mini books! ;)

And just so you can see- they even tell you which sets they currently work with.

these are pretty dang Grand in my opinion! ;)

I used the store kit image from a few months back paired with a sentiment from a KOM.  The paper is MME.  And the dies...Well- This card is 4 3/4 x 4 1/2- that is the NEW LABELS ONE GRAND NESTABILITIES IN ACTION!   I am just a we bit excited!  ;)  These dies are FABULOUSLY large- you will want and need them!!

I think I may do a comparison post this weekend on them! :)

Hip Hop!

I have another funky Birthday card today-

I decided on a little big of a loud and funky card today- not my normal cleaner styled card...and I think I like it!  The cake is paper pieced, and the word cake is colored in with Copics.  I added BIG drops of stickles on the candles to add a little sparkle.

And there is NO ribbon... not a usual happening around thees parts!  ;)

Interested in some BLOG CANDY?

Tell me....what's your favorite type of Birthday card to make?
You could win this! post the winner tomorrow with my Stamp Simply/FWF post :)

Happy Birthday Jeff!

It's my husbands birthday today, and he's not one to make a fuss about things.  So I figured I better! ;)

I have another clean and simple birthday card for you- masculine style this time!

Again with the cork!  I decided I really like it for masculine cards...Well, you don't want to be all froo-froo with your husbands card do you?!!  I went clean and no fuss for him with some graphic 45 paper, Unity stamps for the sentiment, and my Spellbinders label one die.

The card stock is Kraft and cream- I had to use a flash, so it appears quite harsh and isn't as kraft and creamy as it really is! ;)

Off to embarass him on his facebook page! ;)

Today's birthday card is a clean and simple one using Waltzingmouses new Bountiful Basket Additions.

I just love these little fill able baskets- I don't have her first set, but I may need to order it! ;)  I used my Spellbinders dies and some May Arts ribbon- I colored my pearls with my copics so they would match the ribbon.

Stampin' Store kit time

Happy Saturday- at this time I am enjoying a fabulous girls weekend showing an out of state friend the fabulous city of Seattle!  ;)

We ended our summer with a week long camping trip in our house on this months store kit- all about the journey was a prefect chance to get those pictures scrapped!

This is the front cover... I opted for a mini clip to hold it all together instead of binding it.

pages 1 and 2.  My extremely handsome son, (yep, proud mama) sitting in a tree.  They climbed the trees everyday- they were the "perfect" tree climbing type I'm told.
The next page is them holding their prized "tumbleweeds".  We live in the city, not the desert...these types of things are exciting to them! ;)

We camped at Potholes State park- which is this HUGE reservoir- gorgeous backdrops also.  We had several days of 90+ weather so we rented some jetskis for fun of course!

Here is not the last page, but where I left off!!  I have about 10 more pages to fill in I will share more when it's finished!  This is just our week at a glance- the kids actually took time to write in their journals each days events...I was a little surprised by that!  It will be awesome to read in 10 years though!! ;)

have a fabulous weekend! Pin It Now!

A fathers love...

It's another stamp simply challenge today!
Head on over to Sharon's blog to read all about it!

Let's hear it for the guys - Today’s challenge is to come up with ideas for guy cards- cards that are more suited for the men in our lives- NO BOWS!  Ribbon or string in a *manly* fashion are welcomed!

I just recently got these newer Ippity backgrounds are couldn't wait to play with them- The Book it was used for the library card, and the burlap for the background on the kraft.
I used my Spellbinders™ Labels One to cut the cork out.  Cork seems manly...right?

for Hip HOP!

I have a easy little project for you today- first up is a simple card-

The sentiment is from the September KOM and that fabulous leaf is from Spellbinders™.
I colored over the stamped leaf image with a clear gel pen.

Next up is a fun little treat pouch-  I was blurfing with my morning coffee like I often do and ran across someone's blog who made a cute pouch from shipping tags- My apologies- *I can't remember the site*
But I thought...I have some fun new Labels Seventeen that would be fun to try that with!

*The ribbon is some of that super wide ribbon from SU! was the perfect color scheme but to wide- so I trimmed it right down the middle-

it's super easy- here's the how...

Cut out two of your label shapes- (any cut out would probably work)

then depending on how tall you would like it, score at about 1 1/2".  If you want it taller, or your shape is smaller, score it at a smaller increment.

Then, where the score marks are, adhere the two ends together, and it should look like this- stamp, decorate, and fill as you desire! :)  You could make these for class treats and let the kids stamp-my daughter is BIG into crafting with me now!

The border images are from a Samantha Walker Halloween kit, and the sentiment is from the new KOM.

Happy Birthday!'s FINALLY here!  The normal school year- We started last week, but then the 3 day weekend  seem to throw a loop at the kids! ;)  Starting a regular routine hasn't been easy for them this time...

on to some stamping...

I decided on a kids styled birthday card-a little out of my normal realm, but *handy* to have on hand!  Especially with them back in school now!
I used Unity's Samantha Walker retro road trip for the sentiment, and the plane comes from another.  (can't remember...sooo sorry!) I also stamped the strip of dots behind the circle from a KOM set- I think the paper is Cosmo...  I am a *wealth* of info today, right?

Sort of a fun kids card- every once in a while it's nice to do something different..even if it involves using Kraft still! ;)

woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Thursday!!!

Today's is a special one...

And I am *really* looking forward to it!

Don't get me wrong, I loved having my kids home all summer...We played, and camped, and hiked, had birthdays, etc.  I am just ready for our routine, our schedule and hopefully a slightly cleaner house! ;)

For my card I used the new Christmas mini album set 25 Days.  I also used the background  Declare Freedom on my blue strip- it adds a nice piece of texture to the clean design.  The paper is Cosmo, the ribbon is May Arts, and of course, my Spellbinders™ dies.

and in honor of being early for Christmas, I have THIS to give away- I'll post a winner tomorrow!!
