Members of Gina K.'s Design Team have come together to host a hop with sewing as the center theme. Along the hop you will find a variety of sewing techniques from hand sewing to faux sewing!
If you came from Stamp TV, you're at the right place. If not make sure to head over to StampTV where you will find a list of all those participating in today's hop.
I used Gina's Stamp TV set Springtime Silhouettes. I started my creating my card using a Spellbinders die. I stamped the floral image and then I cut the paper using the same die and adhered it to my card.
Since I am not on speaking terms with my sewing machine, (her issue, not mine ;) and, yes, my sewing machine is a "her") I opted to hand stitch. I see people who do it all the time, and figured it can't be too hard...and it wasn't!! I love how it turned out- and I may do it more often! ;)
Make sure to head on over to Carolina's blog next!! Pin It Now!

Very cute card!
Awesome work, as always!
Such a cute card and I also am at odds with my sewing machine! I will have to give that hand stitching a try.
LOVE the little x's!! perfect touch AJ!
Adorable card AJ - the hand stitching is the perfect touch! Love your comments about your sewing machine - LOL!
Love the color choices here, AJ. Yep... my sewing machine and I are pretty much "not speaking" to each other either! Hee Hee
AJ, your card is really sweet!! And yes, I know what you mean about not on speaking terms with your sewing machine. Mine just refuses to cooperate with me ;) The hand stitches look great!
It turned out great. I love the dp being cut for just part of the card front and then your three little cross stitches Wonderful creation.
Love your card, the shape, the image, the coloring and especially the dp you used. Thanks for sharing.
Great card! Now I don't feel so intimidated! I think maybe I can do this! :)
Beautiful card! I am so like you that my sewing machine and I don't get along.
I love the colors you used. When stitching what type of thread do you use to sew? I’ve wanted to sew but I just don’t know what type of thread to us.

LOL...nope, hand stitching isn't hard at all. Just depends on how much you do whether it takes a lot of time or not. On your card, it adds just the perfect amount! Adorable!
Okay...that is really cute. I am going to try to make one myself. Thanks for sharing.
Cute!
Love your card - the color combo and the stitching.
Very nice! Love the x stitching..just enough!
Lovely card!
Nice card, with the spell binders layers all lined up!
I love your simple cross stitches. I am in the same shape...my sewing machine and I never did mesh. I am a nervous nellie when sewing so hand sewing or faux sewing is the only way I will do it. Your design is beautiful!
Adorable card AJ, love the Aqua color you chose!!
You made the handstitching look almost easy :)
You're right! It turned out great!
Adorable...we can all do handstitching, right!!

I love the way it turned out too, AJ! : )
Cute card - simple and adorable!
Very cute! I never think to use the Spellbinder cut-out as my card--I'm always using the cut-out on a card instead. I'll have to try it your way. Thanks A.J.!
...i * feel better * that I saw your card.. it does look like fun.. ty
