I heart U

I was already to try and think up some gag joke to play, being that it's
April Fools day and all....

But I just opted to post another CAS Spellbinders Gina K card instead.
Happily for me, I am ending one term with them, and starting my second!  I am so very thanksful
for all the great friends and experiences I have had as a result of being on the team over the last year.
Thanks Spellbinders™!!
I heart u!

So, I go through periods which certain dies are more used than others- right now, I am LOVING my S5-025 Labels Seventeen and my S4-310 Labels Eighteen!
This is just a fun little card- and thanks to Latisha, I borrowed her fave colors.
The hearts are from Tami's Perfect Pennants set, and I stamped them randomly all over the middle of my card.  The i <3 u & the red flourished stamp is from Nina's Lovely Labels three set.

enjoy your April Fools day!!

in a class of your own...

Hip to the hop!

here's anther CAS styled card for you today-

Sometimes, just some simple embossing adds just the right pop of something extra with out weighing it down-I embossed the shimmery white card stock with a S5-025 labels seventeen die and then stamped it with the fun shoes from the January kit to the moon and back.

How's it growing?

Since it is now officially spring-

I am playing with Hambo stamps today- the oh-so-sweet-Libby asked me a while back to join them during April and share a card-  If you haven't seen their stamps- go check them out- I especially love their fractured funnies!!  They have that perfect sentiment for any sarcastic occasion!! LOVE it!

For my card today I used Hambo's Chick Tower- 2514 and How's It Growin? - 2716
Those little chicks are just too cute, and it's been too long since I pulled out the copics!!
I colored the flower  and added a little stickles to the center-

Thanks so much to Monica and Libby for allowing to join you this month!! :)

Technique Tuesday on Monday

Happy Monday!!

I am lucky enough to be guest designing for Technique Tuesday this month- I love their stamps!
I of course first hear about them because of Ali Edwards- I love her style.  And her thinking- just put it on the paper- Her classes are fabulous...onto the cads! ;)

This first card uses TWO of her sets- Amazing, and Perspectives.  I used some Lush2 for my bottom edge and a new Banner Basics Three Spellbinders die.  Simple, but I love the end result!

Next up is a fun set Sweet Somethings- it's got some really cute sayings in it-
Like, 29 again...

Same set, new color scheme and the heart is from Loving Words. This may be my fave of the group...

Lastly is a card using the Petite Posies-this is SO not my normal card style, I was trying to follow a sketch and color challenge and ended up here!  Thus the reason I rarely do challenges! ;)  Still love the set though!

enjoy!

Final Day- Gina K March Release inspiration hop!

Today I have several cards more to share from Gina K’s newest release.  Be sure to catch all the other samples from the Design Team today  –  Make sure to check them all out on the All New page!!

All of my cards today use the new Stamp TV kit Springtime Silhouettes.  I think this may be my fave of my three today- I love that bird!  And the colors, and the fonts.  ;)   I stamped the bird using yellow ink onto the Large labels and layered it again onto another large labels in blue.

I decided on this one to add a little fluff- I am usually pretty cas, but thought that these images seem a bit vintage/shabby to me- I can't pull of shabby/vintage, but like how this turned out!  I stamped the bird cage onto a Big Scalloped Circles SM and popped it up with foam squares.  The blue strip is stamped with the flourishy type image from the same kit.

And lastly, a full on CAS styled card- I can't help it, I like white space!  I die cut the bottom with the Jumbo Scalloped Borderabiltities die and added a piece of the paper from the Stamp TV Kit.

 thanks for stopping by!!

Make sure to check out the rest of the team today as well!!

Gina K Inspiration hop day 3!

Happy Tuesday!
Today I have several cards more to share from Gina K’s newest release.  Be sure to catch all the other samples from the Design Team today  –  Make sure to check them all out on the All New page!!

I love Tami's set (Perfect Pennants) that matches so well with the Spellbinders Nested pennants!  I stamped the flags after I cut out the die, and before I embossed-then added them onto the card with foam squares.

And Nina created this fabulous set "Lovely Labels Three" that works with Spellbinders Labels eighteen, twenty, and twenty one.  I used labels eighteen here for my card, and stamped the 'hi' onto a Standard Circles LG and then layered it onto a Large labels in gray.  Paper is Lily Bee.

And last, but certainly not least- the new set from Rupa called Cute as a bug- Again I used the fun labels eighteen shape and stamped that adorable little lady bug.  I didn't know if I would like him colored in red, so I let him be.  as is.  I like him this way- ;)
Again, paper is Lily Bee-

Make a splash!

Happy Monday!
Today I have several cards to share from Gina K’s newest release.  Be sure to catch all the other samples from the Design Team today  –  Make sure to check them all out on the All New page!!

First up, a card I shared at the relase party last week using the new set Make a splash.  I stamped the whale onto a Standard Circles LG circle, colored the whale in with BG10, then covered the water spout with stickles.

For this card using the same Make a splash set,  I stamped the fish onto a Standard Circles LG circle, and covered them in with glossy accents. I also stamped the cute little jelly fish all over the blue curved rectangle and covered them with Glossy Accents as well.

Nest is the new set Bring the Bling.  I used the Stamp TV paper for my color scheme, and stamped the flowers onto some Standard Circles LG.  I stamped hello from the new One Free with Three- Stenciled Silhouettes set also released last week.

And lastly, one using the new Warm with love.  I stamped the butterfly as if he were perched onto my rectangle.  I covered him in stickles, so maybe it's a girl butterfly...boys aren't usually sparkly. ;)

 thanks for stopping by!!

Make sure to check out the rest of the team today as well!!

    Happy Birthday!

When Flourishes first laid eyes on two of the brand new die sets fresh off the production line at Spellbinders, they just knew that we needed a stamp set to coordinate with these funky and fresh dies! Are you ready to take a peek?

This fun set just screams celebration and offers 6 different pennants and flags all designed to coordinate perfectly with Spellbinders S5-028  Nested Pennants and  S5-028 Lacey Nested Pennants. There are also 9 sentiments and 8 accents in the set that you can use to deck out your pennant shapes in fun and different ways! Want a little more to coordinate with your cards? How about our new Strips and Stripes background set? This set offers three strips to use together as one background or separate as three different strips that coordinate with our Birthday Pennants set! Since the set was just released last night, we can show you it in its entirety now!

Here is my card using the Birthday Pennants set.  I stamped the flag pennants in red and popped them up on a classic rectangles lg.   After stamping the sentiment, I tend to always add a few rhinestones- here I stamped a row of dots, I think I like this better!! (more economical also!)

Because we just knew this set was a match made in heaven with the Spellbinder's Pennant Dies, we asked some of their ever-so-talented designers to join the Flourishes team for a little show and tell! Make sure to hop on over and see....

    Spellbinders Thank You hop

The Gina K Designs team would like to welcome you to this special Spellbinders™ "Thank You" blog hop.

For a list of those participating today, check out Stamp TV.  If you didn't come from Gina's blog, make sure to stop by there first!

For my card, I used the Stamp TV kit from February, Sent with Love.  I used the S4-292 Beaded Circles, and S4-114 Standard Circles LG, and the S4-239 Classic Scalloped Borderabilites Petites from Spellbinders.
I stamped the butterfly on the white circle and then again onto a scarp piece of cardstock.  I cut out the hearts, popped them upon to the main image and covered them with stickles.

A little about the Grand Calibur-
It's about 10lbs, and has a GRAND sized platform!  You can run up to 2 whole sets of Nestabilities through it at one time- (depending on the set of course! ;)

Here is all of what you get with the Grand Calibur.  The A Base Plate; The C Cutting Plate; the B Embossing Plate; and the tan Embossing Mat.

For a quick size reference- here is my Grand next to my Wizard- fyi, that white tray pops out to run card stock through with out trimming first!

And here you can see the S5-029 Nested Lacey Pennants dies, The S4-324 Ribbon Banners, and part of the the S5-027 Labels Twenty-One dies.  (You may have seen some "snippets" that work with the above sets on Gina's blog already! ;)
You can run ALL of these through at one time!

Here are most of the Grand sized dies, they all coordinate and nest with the regular classic Nestabilities™.

So you can see just how much larger they are- A grand set and a regular set.

An A2 sized card front with the largest of the regular Nestabilities™.

And here is the largest of the grand set on an 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of card stock- Which you can run through the machine as is.

Make sure to head on over to Carolina's blog next!!!
And make sure to check out Stamp TV!

You sweep me off my feet!

    Hip Hop folks!

A little Cosmo Cricket action for ya today-

This first card uses the "You sweep me off my feet" Itty Bitty.  The paper is from Social Club.  I colored her dress in with an Atyou Spica pen for a little sparkle, but I don't think the camera caught it.

This one uses the Hey Girlfriend itty bitty.   The paper is also from Social Club, and the die is the S4-132  Classic Rectangle LG from Spellbinders™

Also- Lesley has been working very hard getting video tutorials together for you-

Samantha Walker Creative Team Blog Hop

    Happy Hump Day!
It's that time again for the Samantha Walker Creative team hop!
I am trying to get some cards built up again in my stash...but ended up submitting a few...so here's all you get today-

First up is a fun and cheery one- this uses my daughters favorite stamp set from Unity, Girly Dots.
She's in to all things peace sign related.  The peace sign was stamped on to standard circles lg die and then layered onto a classic scalloped circles lg die.  I also finished off the edge of the card with a banner basics two die.  The paper is from Samantha's Cotton Tail collection available at Creative Imaginations.

No stamping here!! I think the paper is also from the Cotton tail collection- the chicks are too cute!!  The dies are from Spellbinders.  I die cut the striped paper with the beaded squares and used just the edge.  Love how it turned out-

Make sure to head on over to Samantha's blog- I believe there is a giveaway! ;)

Next on the list is the amazingly talented (and sweet!!)  Eva Dobilas

    new year, new goals!

    Happy Thursday- it's hip hop!

First...my apologies for the poor photo- finishing up a layout an hour before you post it to go live is definitely poor planning! ;)

For my layout I used the Marah Johnson Art & Soul, and Moxie stamps. I stamped the large border image in the corners, and below the photo.  I LOVE this swirly flourish!

I used Basic Grey's letter stickers and then stamped thew word 'goals'. (from the moxie kit)  I got a little carried away and added some glimmer mist- I inked the white letters with it a tiny bit.

Not very often am I in front of the camera, (I think Maren took this photo, don't ya love the angel wings?) and I hope to have a few more layouts with photos of me included this year!!  I loved the colors in the striped paper from Echo Park, it seemed to meant for this picture!
