Woo HOO for June!
I am so very hopeful that this means the sun will make an appearance here in the PNW at some point this year!
Today marks the "official" release of Sunshine & Smiles, the June set from Avocado Arts.
I kept it pretty CAS, stamping the tulips on a Classic Rectangles SM with a Deckled Rectangles SM behind it in orange.
The clouds are stamped, cut out, and popped up with foam squares.
Make sure to check out the rest of the teams projects today-
enjoy!!

Today I have a few cards to share from Gina K’s newest release. Be sure to catch all the other samples from the Design Team today – And make sure to check out all the new stamps on the All New page!! My next card uses the new set Border Bling. The ribbon and patterned paper are from the Stamp TV kit. I love the idea of adding little bling all around your die cuts- For mine though, I used a green pigment ink. I like that little pop of color with the black and white papers-
thanks for stopping by!!

thinking of you
It's another AA post this week- LOTS going on today over on the AA blog and FB page- And make sure to check out the Paper Crafts FB page today as well ;)
For today's card, I repeatedly stamped the flowers in various colors and added coordinating rhinestone in the centers. I have a thing for rainbows lately...
onto the FUN stuff!
If you haven't already seen these over on the FB page or blog, check them out here-
Available for pre-sale!! And, if you are a stamp club member, you can get a discount or buy them bundled for even more savings
Strike-a-Pose Set Design Fun Facts: This kit was designed with the concept of an old skool viewfinder and/or movie reel with an interactive twist. The viewfinder image is large, the type fits inside each image cell and there are buildable elements. It can also be used as a game spinner. The “cell” elements inside the circle can be cut-out to reveal pics, words, etc. The AvocadoType words fit into the mini banner element and can be “pinned” on the viewfinder as a buildable element. We are planning some movie themed add-ons to this kit in the future.
Say It! Pennant Style Fun Facts: This kit utilizes the banner/pennant concept for journaling and page building. There are builder elements provided to create with: a journal block within the pennant, journal word prompts, scallop, star and flower image builders and a whimsical rope to tie it all together.

Thinking of you
Well, I decided to go back to my Kraft roots. I have been on a white card stock kick for a while, and needed a change! The flowers in the patterned paper look just like the little flowers in the set Sunshine and Smiles, so I stamped the background on the Kraft base using the larger of the two flowers and colors similar to the paper. The flower next to the sentiment is the smaller.
I kept it simple this week- we had a sports packed weekend of soccer, track, and softball. And it also included a visit from the rarely present SUN, who hasn't been out much in the Seattle area this year.... so I managed to score a sunburn at track. And back to POURING RAIN this week. blah.
This is AA's third week, and we are still all sharing new projects for you each week-
Make sure to check out the rest of the girls this week as well-

Sew much fun!
Members of Gina K.'s Design Team have come together to host a hop with sewing as the center theme. Along the hop you will find a variety of sewing techniques from hand sewing to faux sewing!
If you came from Stamp TV, you're at the right place. If not make sure to head over to StampTV where you will find a list of all those participating in today's hop.
I used Gina's Stamp TV set Springtime Silhouettes. I started my creating my card using a Spellbinders die. I stamped the floral image and then I cut the paper using the same die and adhered it to my card.
Since I am not on speaking terms with my sewing machine, (her issue, not mine ;) and, yes, my sewing machine is a "her") I opted to hand stitch. I see people who do it all the time, and figured it can't be too hard...and it wasn't!! I love how it turned out- and I may do it more often! ;)
Make sure to head on over to Carolina's blog next!! Pin It Now!

Country Charm Labels & Borders
We don’t need to tell you that tags and labels are two of the trendiest items to hit the card making market in a long time! And, to help you add style and pizazz to your creations, Flourishes has teamed up with Spellbinders Paper Arts to make sure you have the perfect set of stamps to match a darling set of tag style dies. Wonderfully whimsical and reminiscent of Grandma’s calico prints, Flourishes “charming” set offers three labels that coordinate perfectly with Spellbinders Grommet Tags (S4-322). Designed by Becky Fleck, you'll also find 6 beautiful sentiments and 4 accent stamps to dress up your labels! Pair that with Flourishes Country Charm Borders and you have the perfect set to make darling note cards in minutes. Flourishes coordinating Country Charm Borders set features five border strips that match the labels set to a tee. What fun!
I picked the grommet tag that also seems to coordinate with the S5-025 Labels Seventeen dies as well. (I like how the curves almost match ;) I used Lily Bee paper for my label seventeen shape, and stamped the country charm stamp onto the S4-322 Grommet Tags. I stamped the sentiment from the same set in a red ink.
Keep in mind, if you like what you see, both the Country Charms Labels and Country Charms Borders are available now
Because Flourishes knew this set was a match made in heaven with Spellbinder's Grommet Tags, both design teams are joining forces for a fun-filled show and tell blog hop! Make sure to hop on over and see....

Samantha Walker Creative Team Blog Hop
Welcome to another Samantha Walker Creative Team Blog hop- Each month I am in awe of the fabby creations this creative team comes up with!
Today I have a card to share-
For you! The sentiment and yellow circles are from the Life is Beautiful set available through Unity Stamp Co. The paper is from Samantha's Heidi line at Creative Imaginations.
And for those of you haven't yet tried the Grand Dies...
here's how easy it is to make a card using them!!
To make the top layer of my card, I used the #3 die, (#1 being the smallest of them) and just die cut the paper using just the bottom half of the die. Since I am lining it up with the top of the card, I don't need the scallops on the top part. Shaped cards are an easy way to mix things up a bit!
Make sure to head on over to Samantha's blog- I believe there is a giveaway! ;)
Next make your way over to the Nancy's Bloghttp://mypaperview.blogspot.com/2011/05/samantha-walker-blog-hop.html!!

Just Saying Hello
Happy Mothers day!!
I am so looking forward to spending the day with my family and goofing off- We are going out to the crab pot for dinner later- always a good time when you are armed with a bib and mallet to eat dinner with!!
Tomorrow my dad goes in for CT scans to check his progress on his battle with cancer and we are expecting great news!! :)
Here's a happy little Avocado Arts card for you to start the week-
I stamped the little bees in Canary (Colorbox), and the flower in Raspberry (also Colorbox). LOVE these colors together-
I will admit to being a DIE HARD red rubber fan, but am realllllly digging the options with clear sets. I love how each element is separate and can be stamped individually-
Make sure to head on over to the Avocado Arts blog, facebook page, and the website to check it all out and see the WHOLE kit if you haven't already-
And make sure to check back tomorrow- Latisha will be sharing a new project for you as well
enjoy!
