The perfect pair

Two posts in TWO days!  Vacation sort of takes it all out of you some times, trying to get caught up ;)  The whole gang is sharing new projects using the JULY Avocado Arts set Hello Friend
For my card here, I used the S4-250 Bog Scalloped Circles SM set with some my Minds Eye Lime Twist paper for this one.  The socks are stamped using the same paper, the stars are the backside of he stripes.  I just adore these socks- My daughter purposely mis-matches her socks now, and they remind me of her!!

and another Birthday...

Happy hump day! It's been quiet here, we left for Idaho last week- My husband participated in the ironman event in Coeur D'Alene on Sunday.  Such a beautiful city, I could definitely go back and cheer him on there again in the future!  Home now, and I could sure use a vacay to recover! ;)

I have another quick and happy birthday card to share, this time using Avocado Arts new Avocado Type set.
I lined all the alphabet letters up on my block, then stamped each of the words- It's a very quick card, and it doesn't use as much white space as I normally would, but I think it's fun- it will make a great kid birthday card!

Happy Birthday-

Today's StampTV challenge is to case the DT- I LOVE that idea! So fun- And in alphabetical order, I am first!  I am sharing this card here, because I never managed to upload it over at STV since it was published....  It just so happens to be on the COVER of the July/August issue!  Yes, I was super excited when I received that email! ;)

If you don't get this in a subscription, you can order it here. There are some amazing cards in there, as usual.

Congrats!

It's still grad season out there- here's another quick and easy one!  The stamps are Unity, the paper is from the MME lush line, and the dies are Spellbinders-  I stamped the hat, cut it out, and popped it up with foam squares.  This is one of my favorite Grad sets- I love that hat!

Summer has finally arrived in the PNW, so our days are going to be spent outside from here on out!  Fingers crossed the weather stays!

You did it!

So, I have been a bit absent this last month or so...

I have been focusing all of my attention elsewhere...My sons LAST day of elementary school.  I am now a mom of a middle schooler. sigh.

He sort of didn't realize he was a tad late for his LAST day of safety patrol, so he had to run off quickly-

but was still able to make silly faces at me all the way there.  :)

yep. he did it.  So very proud, he's become such an amazing person.   Here's a little congrats card for all the school age accomplishments made out there this spring!

The paper is from an old book I got at a garage sale, I used it as a background strip, and stamped the books on it.   The stamps are Unity, and the die is from Spellbinders™.

Gina K Masculine hop

Members of Gina K.'s Design Team have come together to host a hop with cards and projects featuring a masculine theme.

If you came from Gina K's Blog, you're at the right place. If not make sure to head over to StampTV where you will find a list of all those participating in today's hop.

For my masculine card I used the sets Timeless Textures, and Masculine Messages.  The paper and brads are from the current Stamp TV kit, Vintage Chic.  I stamped the dotted textures background on the left, and adhered the patterned paper on the right.  I like the contrast of the black/white and the patterns.  Just a few more cards like this one and I will be set for Fathers day! ;)

Head on over to Carolina's blog to see what she's sharing with you today!

Samantha Walker Creative team hop!

Welcome to the monthly Samantha Walker Creative team hop! Today we are showcasing Samantha's Unity Stamp Collection!  First up is a card using her Life is beautiful set and her Blossom paper line from Creative Imaginations.  I used a Spellbinders die for the butterfly and sentiment, and stamped the pink border behind it- I like the little pop of pink in that mix of blue/green/browns.

Next up is another clean and simple styled card using her Ooh La La set from Unity, and her Kokeshi Lantern paper.  I am NOT usually a fan pf purple, but I am loving how this turned out!!  I used my Spellbinders to cut a portion of the purple paper.  I stamped the lantern and colored over it with a sparkly marker- (an atyou pen from Copic)

Make sure to head on over to Samantha's blog- I believe there is a Unity Stamps giveaway! ;)

Next make your way over to the Jennifer's Blog!!

New Avocado Arts sneak peek!

Today we are sharing projects using both the June set "Sunshine & Smiles" and the new July set "Hello Friend!" from Avocado Arts.   I have been enjoying bold color patterns lately- this paper is from Echo Parks Summer Days line and the die is from Spellbinders- S4-192 Blossom.

The flower is stamped on the card, and then again on to some scraps.  I cut and mounted the petals with foam squares for some extra dimension.

Make sure to check out the rest of the teams projects today, and the AA blog/FB page/website.

enjoy!!

whoa...

Yep, bad poster here.  I have been crazy busy with life and let crafting go!  I actually didn't even make this one recently....it's out in the newest crafts n things magazine- go pick one up, great stuff in there!!
This uses Spellbinders dies of course, and I think that's a Unity KOM sentiment.  The paper is from My Minds Eye.
I haven't made any circular cards in a while- I just love how they turn out!!  Hoping for some time to clear up soon- and maybe the sun to come out as well!  (but then I would definitely NOT be crafting! ;)

Sports are winding down finally, along with school, and then bring it on!    -dog days of summer that is!

More stamp TV paper, brads, & ribbon! Same paper, different direction- the flowers are inked with yellow and have little yellow rhinestones in the centers.

Lastly- I stamped the kite onto the S4-301 Labels Sixteen die and then again onto a scrap piece of paper.  Cut out the kite, and popped it up with foam squares.  The paper is also from this months Stamp TV Kit.

what is it about rainbows? I have been on a rain bow kick for a while now....This card uses the new "free with three" set Elegant Elements and the sentiment (and patterned paper) are from the new Stamp TV set Vintage chic.  I die cut the circles with my Standard Circles SM in various colored cardstock and stamped the circle in black on each one.

This new set By The Sea from Theresa has some fabulous masculine styled images that are great to have this time of year!  I opted to leave my lighthouse minimally colored, ( I simply am not a fabulous colorer ;)  But I am liking the end result-
enjoy!
