Gina K Designs Inspirational Blog hop Day 2

Hi all~
Today I am sharing a few cards from Gina K’s newest release.  Be sure to catch all the other samples from the Design Team today  –  And make sure to check out all the new stamps on the All New page!!

First up is a card using Theresa's new set, Sweet Strawberries.  Theresa's coloring skills are with out a doubt amazing, and I don't even pretend to have any skills in comparison  So, I paper pieced with red and green card stock instead.  ;)

Next up is Tami's new set, Vintage Notes.  I immediately paired it up with the Spellbinders die template set Office Supplies.  I used some Lily Bee patterned paper for the notebook piece, and stamped the background.

I thought this set would make fun guy cards, and since Fathers Day will be sneaking up soon enough, I have one ready to go now-  The sentiments are from another Gina K set, Masculine Messages.  (side note, I think I like that notebook die tilted to the side a bit ;)

thanks for stopping by- Make sure to check out the rest of the team today as well!

You did it!

Today we are sharing projects using the new May AA set Thoughts and Smiles.

I decided on *super* CAS today, stamping the fun little polka rows in different colors behind the Spellbinders die.  I like how it sort of looks like torn washi tape.

I stamped the leaves on to the square die along with the sentiment.  The flower is cut and popped up using 3D Foam Squares.  I think this months set is by far my fave!! :)

Gina K Designs Inspirational Blog hop day 1

Happy Friday!
Today I am sharing a few cards from Gina K’s newest release.  Be sure to catch all the other samples from the Design Team today  –  And make sure to check out all the new stamps on the All New page!!

This first card uses the new set Lacey Borders.  I stamped the red lace border at the bottom of my card and layered my patterned paper just above it.
I couldn't fit the sentiment in the circle lengthwise the way it comes, so I stamped each word separately.

My second card uses the fun pennants from the Basket Additions 2.  I stamped the pennant onto the Spellbinders Labels Eighteen, and again onto red and blue card stock.  I trimmed the red and blue pieces and adhered them to the original pennant.

thanks for stopping by- Make sure to check out the rest of the team today as well!

Everything will go "live" at 11:00 am Central in Gina's Store so there won't be any long wait to start shopping! Hope to see you there!

If you came from Gina K's blog, then you're right where you should be. If not, please go to Stamp TV where you will find a list of all those participating. Here's a sneak peek of one of the cards I will be sharing with you at the party:

For my card today, I pulled out some older patterned paper to work with.  I then decided on the colors and sentiment based on the paper.  I colored in my flowers with a pale mint blue, and paired it with the I miss you a lot sentiment from the One free with Three set, One in a Million.

Go to Carolina's blog, to continue the hop and see you at the party!

CAS-ual Fridays Sketch challenge, take two and three...

yes, I squeezed in another card using the CAS-ual Friday's sketch-

So, this is what happens when you have a few left over pieces from a previous project...you make another!  I actually made the card below first, and thought I should make one more with the extras I had laying around.  I can always have a few cards on hand!  I stamped the red and aqua patterns (from Avocado Arts) then cut them out with the Spellbinders Octagons dies.  The sentiment is also AA, the AA borders and sentiments set.  I notched the corner instead of rounding it out.

And here's my first one-  I used the larger octagon dies, and switched up the yellows, layout, and sentiment.

CAS-ual Fridays Sketch challenge

So, I got the chance to play along with another sketch challenge, this time over at CAS-ual Friday's.

I love just how simple you can make this sketch-

My take on it- Some Lily Bee patterned paper, Avocado Arts sentiment, and Page Maps dies from Spellbinders.
I may play again, I love CAS cards! Pin It Now!

Avocado Arts group post!

Today the WHOLE crew is sharing projects using the April set which includes sneaks from May's set as well!!

Mothers day is nearing, so I am trying to make a few card ahead of time to have ready to go!

I started with paper from the new Double Dutch line from Lily Bee.  I stamped the stitched flower from April's set in Cookie Dough ink from ClearSnap over the gingham pattern.

I attached some seam binding in layers on my card front using DODZ™ and Crafty Power tape.   (Cut a strip just a tad longer than card length.  Attach the first layer to card using Crafty Power Taper, secure edges from back side.  Cut a second strip, fold edges over and secure with a DODZ, repeat on other end, and secure to card with Crafty Power Tape just in the middle section, repeat for third layer, making each layer shorter than the previous.)
I then stamped the sentiment, flower, and leaves from the May set onto my white Labels Eighteen die from Spellbinders.  Finished it off with some Baby Bling pearls from Want2Scrap.

Samantha Walker Creative team hop!

Welcome to our Samantha Walker Creative Team Monthly Blog Hop!  You should have arrived here from Samantha's blog, that is where all the  fun starts, and you don't want to miss out!

For my card today, I decided to play along with the Tuesday Trigger- I immediately thought of this bird from the Cuckoo Clock die set!

I die cut and embossed the bird from the S5-075 Spellbinders Cuckoo Clock set shown below.  The birds are popped up with 3D Foam squares onto a grey background matted with blue on white.
I decided on following the trigger as shown ans sticking with the same color scheme.  I love how it tuned out- I'm not usually one for sentiment-less cards, but I may try it more often!

And...it just so happens that-

Happy Everything...

It's a trifecta today- I managed to do a card for three different challenges today-  I don't play in as many challenges as I would like to, so I was pretty stoked when I finished!

A couple of these challenges are new to me, and one is new period!  I decided I needed to play along with MD's new A Blog Named Hero challenge, the second is for the Retro Sketches #6 challenge, and the last the Less is more Week 62 Color challenge- I am not even sure how I stumbled across this one, but I definitely love a less is more card!

For my card today, I embossed the white panel with the Spellbinders ES-001 So Trendy M-Bossabilities and popped it up on 3D Foam squares to mount it to the green base.  The green flower is actually the S5-050 Rose Creations middle sized leaf fanned out into a flower shape.  The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Happy Day Animals set.

I will have to say, it was a bit challenging to NOT add some bling or ribbon to this one!!

More Mint Motif

Here with another Mint Motif card to share. If you haven't heard, two new stamp set from Mint Motif are now available at i {heart} papers!  The first set is called Beyond Borders, Too  and the second is Simply Sentiments.  Make sure to head on over the store to check them both out.

For my card today, I decided on using that circular image again from Beyond Borders, Too since it sort of matched the patterned paper.

I die cut the label shape from some wood grain paper from Creative Imaginations and stamped the sentiment, starting with the second half on the bottom, and then stamped the rest right above it.  Since you can see right through the stamps, if any of the sentiments are too long, you can simply ink up half at at time and use them this way instead.

today is our last and final day of spring break- and I think spring may actually be making an attempt to show up here in the pacific northwest...finally!
