Just a sweet note...

The pastels are back!  However, I paired them with some brighter colors, and I love them today! :)   Again we are sharing projects from the new March set, Springtime Celebrations from Avocado Arts. 

I love these little dropping jelly beans, they are so cute!  I did pull out my copics for this card.  Can't really screw up teeny tiney little jelly beans, can ya?  I managed not to this time.  ;)

Happy Leap Day!

So long time no post- life has been crazy- all in a good way! :)

Today the pit crew are sharing projects from the new March set, Springtime Celebrations.   I am not usually a fan of pastels.  Here and there, and maybe mixed in with other darker shades, they're ok.  But not on their own.  But once a year, I pull out the pastel inks and card stocks!

For my card today, I decided to leave the egg as the focus on the white die cut- it's stamped in Clearsnap Papay Cream pigment ink.  The little chevrons are totally awesome in this egg!  The grass, which is a separate stamp, is stamped in  Clearsnaps Lime ink. 

I think the chevrons make up for the Easter pastel colors!

Lucky to have you

It's the 15th! Time for a sneaky peek of next months set!  For my card today, I used the new Avocado Style Borders and Sentiments, February's set;  Wishes & Kind Thoughts, and March's set; Springtime Celebrations. 
I stamped the border image from the Borders set three times along the right side, alternating them.  I layered several Circle Nestabilities, stamped with the image from the March set.  I then stamped a few random hearts from the February set in pink inside the border image.

Valentines one day, St. Patty's the next , just like the department stores! ;)

Happy Valentines day- just a quick post using some of my favorite products- Spellbinders dies and Avocado Arts stamps.  (With some kraft of course!)

Samantha Walker Creative team hop!

It's that time of the month again- the Samantha Walker Creative Team is sharing some fabulous projects for you!

Also- Samantha is offering up a FABULOUS prize of one of her die sets from Spellbinders!  More on that below.


First, my cards,  I decided to use the Blossoms Tags and Accents die set on both projects just so you could see the dies in action. 

First up, a simple Valentine- a shaped card using the largest of the die templates in the set.   I stamped the sentiment (from the Blossom Stackers) onto the middle die.  the card is finished off with some red gemstones.

Next, another Valentine ;) I used the dies on a card paired up with some Creative Imaginations paper.  I stamped the hearts (from the With All My Heart set) randomly on the top portion of the card, as well as on the focal point and finished it off with some ribbon, and a few pearls.

Today we are all showcasing the new One free with three set Fresh Start.  I loved this little bird image- easy for the non coloring types! ;)  I stamped it once onto my circle die cut, and then again onto ivory paper with blue ink.  I cut out the little heads and the birds body and glued it to my focal image.

First up is Melanies Stately Flowers 3 set.   I like to use the stamps to make backgrounds- here, I randomly used the flower all over the top 2/3 of the card.  I ran the bottom piece through an M-Bossibilities folder AFTER stamping the sentiment.   I finished it off with a few gems from Want2Scrap.

My second card for today uses Mehndi Wishes from Rupa.  I have always loved those pretty henna tattoos that women get all over their hands, this one realllly reminds of them.  The Gandhi sentiment is one of my favorites!

More from the new February AA set

Happy February!  Wow, it seems like it was just Christmas yesterday!  Today we are all using the new February set- Wishes and Kind Thoughts from Avocado Arts. 
Simple stuff today... I paper pieced the umbrella on some patterned paper from MME and used one of the new M-Bossabilities on the blue card stock strip.  Finished it off with some red twine, and red bling from Want2Scrap.
