You Rock

April Fools day!  Today the pit crew is sharing new cards from the April set, Sew Nice-

My card today uses the flowers from Sew Nice, the sentiment and border image from Avocado Style Borders and Sentiments.

I stamped the flower with Canary pigment ink by ClearSnap onto the notebook page from the Office Supples die from Spellbinders.  I adhered to notebook page with some 3D foam Squares.  The red strip of paper is from Echo Parks Note to self, and the red gems from Want2Scrap.

Friendship is made with love

Happy Friday!

Today we are sharing projects from the new April set Sew Nice fro Avocado Arts.

I'm stilllllll stuck on using this yellow, red, aqua combo....but avoided rounding the corner of my card today!  :)  I used the fake stitching line in aqua from ClearSnap on the white card stock and on my Spellbinders Page Maps label.  I really can't sew to save my life, so, this is about as close as I am going to get to the real deal!  ;)    The heart is the from the July set, Hello Friend (Although I do believe there are other hearts similar to this size in another set as well) and is covered with stickles.  I finished my card off with some bling from Want2Scrap

More Mint Motif

Quick fly by post today-

I have another Mint Motif card to share. If you haven't heard, two new stamp set from Mint Motif are now available at i {heart} papers!  The first set is called Beyond Borders, Too  and the second is Simply Sentiments.  Make sure to head on over the store to check them both out.

For my card today- I decided to play along with the polka dots.  I love polka dots, and these are a great size.  The sentiment prompted me to use a Spellbinders heart die, although, I think this could be an anytime of year card.  It's finished off with some teal May Arts ribbon and teal Want2Scrap baby bling.

I seem to go in spurts of color/style patterns- I have used this color combo a few times lately, and the corner rounding thing...?  all of sudden, I notice all of my cards have it!  I'll bore of them both and move onto another random spurt I'm sure...  Anyone else do this?

Skipping Stones Designs Sketch #121

Back again with another fabulous sketch from Angi Barrs this week-

I think Angi's sketches rock since I am a less is more sort of gal!!  Love the geometric shapes in all of them-

And once again, exercising some creativity with the sketch, I decided on one longer panel behind the diamond shape instead of the 3 rectangle.  I used the Beautiful Botanicals set again, love those silhouette flowers.

I am so very thankful to the Skipping Stones Designs crew for allowing me an opportunity to play along with them this month!!

Sketch for you to try, Mint Motif, and other news...

I am back with another card using the newest Mint Motif release-

Two new stamp set from Mint Motif are now available at i {heart} papers!  The first set is called Beyond Borders, Too  and the second is Simply Sentiments.  Make sure to head on over the store to check them both out.

So, I *finally* got around to playing along in a sketch challenge...

Check it out over at I {heart} 2 Stamp!

I love how Jen's card turned out, not so sure about mine.  It was definitely a challenge!!  ;)  I am a not-so-many-layers type of gal! I stamped the border from Beyond Borders, Too image repeatedly onto the white piece of cardstock in grey ink.  I then used the sentiment to create the pattern on the label.

I attached the white border stamped piece and the Spellbinders die cuts with my 3D Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L...On to the news-  I have been invited to join their 2012 team!
I hear there is a give away over on their blog!

Skipping Stones Designs Sketch #120

Back again for another Skipping Stones sketch for the week!

Angi has whipped up a fun one this week- I LOVE circles-

My take on it- Using the Pumpkin Seeds Sentiments set, I stamped the diamond like background onto white cardstock using Robin's Egg blue, & Citrine from ColorBox.  I stamped it a few times, then covered it with Citrine and Robin's Egg few times, (resulting in the middle circles) and finished it off with just Citrine.

For the middle two circles- The pigment inks blend well together, ink up your stamp with Citrine ink after stamping the first time with Robin's Egg.  It leaves a nice green blue hue behind.

I stamped the citrine again onto the stamp, and then smooshed a little Robin's Egg into give more of a blue-green blend.
For the last two circles, I used just citrine ink.

For the sentiment I used the Robin's Egg again, and finished it off with some Want2Scrap baby bling.

Hey Chick- Avocado Arts style

Woo Hoo for Thursday- No school tomorrow means it's my Friday today!  I am so looking forward to a three day weekend.

Today the whole pit crew is here to share sneaks of next months set along with this months...

My card for today uses the chick and sentiment from this months set Springtime Celebrations, and the faux-sew line (my own made up name ;) from next months set, Sew nice.  (I stamped the faux-sew line a few times since I can't sew to save my life...way more realistic this way!  :)
I can see myself using this stamp often since my sewing machine and I broke up a while back!  I keep threatening to take it out and try again, but it's got an awful temper...

For my project today, I am using Samantha's new 4 birdhouse digital die cuts found over at the

I decided on the a blue color scheme today- I loved both of these cute little bird houses, and wanted them to match a little.  To make them a little sturdy, I ended up doing a white cardstock layer, and then covered it with the patterned paper.  Just make sure to load your paper and cut a second time before changing files.

Here's the 2 hole alone.  I took one of the pieces, rolled it up, and stuck it in the hole.  (I tried a wooden  skewer, but didn't have one that fit.)  Will have to grab some new ones for my next round-

And here's the three hole alone- And I will be making a few more, since these are now in my daughters possession in her room!! Bring on spring!

Mint Motif- Beyond Borders, Too and Simply Sentiments

Two new stamp set from Mint Motif makes its debut today over at i {heart} papers!  The first set is called Beyond Borders, Too  and the second is Simply Sentiments.  Make sure to head on over the store to check them both out.

I love patterns.  This set is so awesome if you ask me. (And so are the sentiments ;)   I love being able to stamp my own patterned paper in colors I want and with fun trendy designs.

I decided to go with a baby themed card here.  I stamped the diamond patterned circle (my own made up description) image first in ColorBox Rosebud ink.  The second row is stamped in Shabby pink.  The third uses pink.  I masked off the label die, then stamped the pink again.  I then lined up the label die with the pattern below and secured with foam squares.

Gina K Designs inspirational hop day one

Welcome to day one of the Gina K Inspiration Blog Hop!

The Design Team for Gina K. Designs welcomes you to another fabulous Inspiration Blog Hop!!! Gina and the Design Team will inspire you with many beautiful ideas! And as you hop through their blogs, make sure to leave a comment on each of them because we will choose a few random comments and those stampers will each win a grab bag of deeply etched, pre-cut Gina K. Designs stamps! To see the full list of winners check the Big News forum at Stamp TV a couple of days after the hops!!

For my first card today, I am using Melanie's New set Wild Flowers.  I have been revisiting a version of the rock and roll technique lately, and my ColorBox pigment inks are perfect for that with this set.  I embossed the card with a Long Classic Rectangles LG first, then I inked the whole flower top with Daffodil, and then inked around the edges with Banana Cream.  I also stamped the middle dots with Banana Cream as well.  I finished it off with some bling and the sentiment stamped in black.

My second card uses Tami's new set Masculine Tags.  The main image works perfectly with the Labels Twenty-Two from Spellbinders™.  I started out thinking I was going to make a Fathers Day card, but decided on a masculine Thank You instead.  (I can always use Thank You's!)  I stamped the stars randomly down the card front and finished them off with some blue baby bling in the centers.

Gina K Designs Release party hop

The Gina K. Design Team is excited to invite you to another fabulous Release Party tonight!!! The party starts at 7:00 pm Central Time in the Stamp TV Release Party Forum. Join us for Challenges, Contest Questions, Design Team Samples, Full Stamp Set Reveals and, of course, party chit chat!!! Everything will go "live" at 7:00 pm Central in Gina's Store so there won't be any long wait to start shopping! Hope to see you there!

If you came from the Stamp TV, then you're right where you should be. If not, please go to Stamp TV where you will find a list of all those participating. Here's a sneak peek of one of the cards I will be sharing with you at the party tonight:

For my card today, I opted for paper piecing in stead of coloring it in...(I'm not a great colorer, true story ;)  I often avoid "real" coloring like Theresa has mastered!!
This is a sneak peek of the new Stamp TV set, Petals and Wings.

I stamped the image onto white card stock, then repeated on various colors of card stock, cut out, and adhere to the main image.  I love these colors together- bright and cheery, now if we can only get some weather to match it!!   I finished it off with some blue bling!

Head on over to Carolina's blog, to continue the hop and see you tonight at the party!

May all your wishes come true- Skipping Stones Sketch #118

This month I have the honor of guest designing over at Skipping Stones Designs!  This is the first sketch of the month from Angie Barrs.

Angie has created a fun sketch for us this week-  I have a thing for circles, so I really like this sketch!!

Here's my take- I followed along pretty close.  I used their Cancer Shmancer set, Dandelion Dreams set, and their Pumkin Seeds Sentiments set.  I *love* those background builders they have in that one!

For my card, I stamped the background using Clearsnaps's ColorBox Cyan.  I inked up the butterfly in Aqua, and then inked the edges with the Cyan.  To create the shadow on the sentiment, I stamped it first in the Cyan, then followed with the Frost White.

Head on over to the Skipping Stones Designs blog to get all the detail and see the rest of the samples everyone made using this weeks sketch.
