the sky's the limit

Pit Crew share today! It's already that time of month, and it makes me realize, this month summer is just flying by!

For my card today, I used the new Bricks & Bark M-Bossabilities (my new fave!)folder from Spellbinders on the yellow cardstock.   I then paper pieced my kites, and adhered them with 3D Foam Squares to the rectangle, and then stamped the strings in grey.

There's several great images in this months set that can be paired up with that sentiment as well!

After you check out the Want2Scrap design team projects on the designers blogs head to Graphic 45 , and Art Glitter's blogs and see the projects made by their talented teams.

Do not adjust your dial, you are in the right place!
I know I usually lean towards clean and graphic, and definitely less is more- but I couldn't help but keep adding the layers on here!  And the sparkle! :)

To start, my card is created using the BRAND new Spellbinders S4-383 Marvelous Squares Majestic Elements using card stock and Graphic 45's Olde Curiosity Shoppe line.  I added some of Want2Scrap's Beautiful Borders to the corners of the black and cream layer, and the baby bling blue green rhinestones just beneath the rose.
My rose is covered in the 37 Ice colored glitter while the 46 Summertree covers the leaves, both are from the Tulips Opaque Pee Wee kit from Art Glitter.  I haven't played with this stuff before, but I love it and will be looking to add more to my collection.  I love just how fine it is and the fabulous colors.

Happy Thoughts

Pit Crew time!
Today the whole pit crew is sharing projects using this months set, and next months set.

I decided to use a new Spellbinders die and pair it up with the ballon string and polka dots from the July set, and the sentiment is from the new August (omg, its almost august?!) set.
I die cut the balloons, and then stamped the polka dots onto the yellow layer.  I adhered the top layer with 3D Foam Squares after stamping the sentiment.

My first card uses the new Assorted Greeting set- One free with three set.  I wasn't sure which sentiment set to use first in this one.  I like that it has a little bit of everything, and something for the inside as well should you choose to do so! :)

The good life- yep, sitting in front of a campfire *possibly* with smores in your hand! ;)  I just love the fun camping images in this set.  I also like the size, so if we do end up camping this summer, I can scrap them!!  The adorable trailer and tent are perfectly sized for it!

For my card today, I used Samantha's new Spellbinders Summer CHA release dies; Botanical Swirls, Corners, & Accents.  I paired it with one of her older die sets, the Ornate Artisan Tags & Accents.

For my first card today- I used Theresa's new set Tropical Nature.  We just spent a week in Maui, and this little guy reminds me of there!  I stamped him, then outlined him with a cool gray copic.

Next up is Becky's debut set with Gina K Designs- I Do!  And It's a fun one-  Love the fun elements in this set.  I chose to go somewhat clean with my card, and not mukky up the front.  I loved how the bride and groom image looked after I popped them up along side the plus sign!

I finished off the sentiment by stamping the 4ever inside the card!

Gina K Designs Inspirational Blog Hop Day One

Today I am sharing a few cards from Gina K’s newest release.  Be sure to catch all the other samples from the Design Team today  –  And make sure to check out all the new stamps on the All New page!!

My first card uses Tami's new Grand Tags set.  I have a quick tip showing how I used this stamp with the Labels Twenty Two die set from Spellbinders to get an evenly spaced image on my die cut.

I find that stamping the image onto your paper first, then placing the die on the paper will always produce a perfectly centered image.   (Just make sure to flip back over when running through your Grand Calibur™) Using removable tape to hold the die in place while cutting.  Here you can see the stamped image, and then a blue circle over the middle- I have my most commonly used dies pre cut so I can measure whether it will fit an image or sentiment on any item I am working on. Here I want to use a white circle in the middle for my sentiment, so I am measuring which one fits.  This circle is too large, so I try the next one down in size.
Here you can see I Have the correct circle.  The die number is written on my circle so I can quickly find it and rub both through at the same time.

For my next card, I am using Melanies fun new border set, Pretty Patterns.  Patterns are my favorite type of stamp.  They are so versatile and timeless.  I lean towards circles, so I picked that to work with.  The main border alone is great, but paired up with the circle fillers and outlines, the possibilities are endless.  And in clear, a snap to line everything up!
