Warm Winter Wishes

Ok, it's only 24 days until Christmas!  Are you ready?  We are done shopping, almost have all present wrapped, and almost have all decorations up.  Sort of a new record for me.  Making up for last year.  ;)  But now, I can just sit through and e n j o y the month!

And, I still need to make Christmas cards, I have a few done, but not enough.   I am not a mass producer type, so I go with several different easy designs.  Like this one-aren't the mittens cute?  Paired up with the snowflakes and the sentiment, it goes in my done pile! :)

Merry Christmas Hero style

Here's a fun little card I shared on the W2S blog the other day-It's officially Christmas time!  Now that Thanksgiving is done, black friday has come and gone, we can all now focus on the holidays!!
My kids are pretty excited, the house is almost finished being decorated, the tree is up, and the lights are up outside!

The tree is made using the Pennants Nestabling and the Lattice Rectangles Nestabling.  The stamps are from Hero Arts. 

Now, I just need about 50 more cards and I am done! ;)

This next one is on it's way to the store- She just created it, and I managed to squeeze a moment in and play just a bit with it.  It's a tri-fold poinsettia card, and it comes with all the pieces.

 For my card today I used Spellbinders dies and Avocado Arts stamps along with Lily Bee patterned paper and embellished with both the Baby LaCreme Pearls 100 count, and 
Baby Bling Pearls White 100 count pearls.  Here's a tip- If you can't find the color match for your project, stock up on the White Pearls, and color with your favorite alcohol based marker!  Same with the bling! ;)

Caring Hearts Blog Hop

The holidays are about family, about kindness, and joy. During this time many of the elderly who lives in nursing homes would really feel the loneliness or missing their family. Wouldn't it be so awesome if we can bring a smile to their face & brighten their holiday season simply by sharing our love of card making? A simple gesture to let them know that they are not forgotten.

For my first card, I used Avocado Arts Stamps paired up with Echo Park's Season's Greetings, & Dots & Stripes Christmas collection cut with Spellbinders S4-368 Hexagon dies.  I finished it off with a single gem.

For my second card, I used Basic Grey's Nordic Holiday line along with the Sweet Folk Art dies from Spellbinders.  The sentiment is from JustRite stamps Deck the Halls.  


A few important details:

• This card drive will be going on till November 30, 2012. I will need to receive your cards by November 30, 2012.
•  Please make the cards for Christmas or Holiday Wishes. Anyone can send a card, your children, church group, scout troops, etc.
• All cards need to have a message in it (can be stamped or handwritten or both).  
• Please sign your name and where you are from. 
• Please don't seal the envelope.
• Please stick to just cards (all size welcome)
• And please don't use any pins (safety reason).

Gearing up for Christmas lights!

So- wow, it's November 1st already- Unbelievable just how fast time has flown by this year!  I can't believe next month is Christmas- I am looking forward to it already. :)

 In an effort to keep my stash of Christmas cards, easily reproducible, and FLAT, I went with a very clean and simple design today.  I stamped the line for the Christmas lights, then the little bulbs in red and greed.  I LOVE those fun little bulbs!  It's finished off with a small gem from Want2Scrap.
