Happy New Year!  Today the pit crew is sharing projects using the January set Perfect Blend!

While I am ready to be moving on from Christmas, it still seems a bit early for Valentines...However, I should probably start now or I will miss getting them ready for my daughters class like I did our Christmas cars this year...  ;)

With these adorable little chevron bags, our treats will be a snap this year!!   I stamped the sentiment in black Versafine, and then the circle and heart with raspberry color.  The circle die cut is adhered to the square, and then the bag using 3D Foam Squares, with the ribbon tucked in between.

How have you bean?

I don't know about you...but I was WAY ahead of the game this year for the holidays, and still managed to mess up getting out Christmas cards! ;)  Presents were packed AND wrapped before December 1 even came along!

Any how, new tradition starting this year...cards AFTER Christmas! ;)

maybe even with this one!  Not quite sure how I manage to get so far behind after being so far ahead, but I am certain it's a talent!   The stamps are from the January Avocado Arts set Perfect Blend.  I stamped the beans and sentiment, and popped it up on a die cut onto my card.

I am glad we have another week home to rest up before everyone goes back to school, it's been go go go since the holidays started!

enjoy!

CardMaker Blog Hop-For You, From Me Gift Card Holders

The countdown is ON!  I hope you are ready for Christmas- We lost power ALL DAY yesterday, school was canceled and one kid stayed home, and then woke up to snow today.  Lesson learned...don't put it off! ;)  Today we are sharing last minute gift card holders.

For my gift card holder, I created a simple shaped pocket card using Spellbinders Curved Rectangle dies.  The actual card only measure 4 1/2 X 3" in size.  Using the same dies, I cut a smaller piece from the Simple Stories Handmade Holiday line, wrapped some gold cord around and adhered using 3D Foam Squares.  I die cut the oval from the same line, and dressed it up with some of the card stock stickers (also from that line) and some fun flair, then adhered it with 3D Foam Squares also.

On the inside, I kept it pretty simple- I stamped the sentiment, and then ripped the ends off the patterned paper strip to mimic washi tape.  (there's quite a few pieces of look-alike washi tape in this collection, I just love it!!)

To create the pocket, cut/emboss the Curved Rectangle Megabilities, and cut in half.  (You want your gift card to be peeking out!!! ;)  Simply place a small line of adhesive around the bottom and side edges to create the pocket, allowing it to slip in.

Make sure to check out the gift card holders from the rest of the ladies today:

Scrapbook Adhesives and Graphic 45 are teaming up

Make sure to head on over to the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L Blog and the Graphic 45 blog today

Be sure to visit our Facebook page, and the Graphic 45 Blog for even more inspiration and their giveaway!

I LOVE patterned paper- there is SO much you can do with it!  I decided to create an ornament using Graphic 45's Nutcracker Sweet line.  I made one like this several years back and thought it was time for a new one.
It's quite simple to create-
Cut your desired 12 X 12 paper into 4 X 4 squares.  (This is the Nutcracker Sweet paper) There are 12 of those little rolled pieces, which came from 6 squares total, not even using a whole sheet of paper.  Roll into a cone shape, tapering the ends.  Adhere ends of cones together with Crafty Power Tape.
Using Spellbinders dies, cut/emboss two of your circle shapes from a complimentary patterned paper, (Gingerbread Delights here) piece.  I cover the back just like the front so it's pretty on both sides.  One by one, adhere your cones to the center of the circle die cut with Crafty Power Tape.  When complete, cover the flip side with the other circle.
I die cut a scalloped circle from white card stock, and adhered to the striped circle with 3D Foam Squares.
I chose the cute mouse king image for the focal point from the Holiday Magic page, and adhered it to the white scalloped circle with more 3D Foam Squares.  (Can't use enough of these when adding dimension!! ;)

I had quite a bit of paper left over, (the green is the backside of the Holiday magic piece, and the Christmas is the front) so I whipped up a quick card to have on hand for last minute needs.  I embossed the green layer with the EG-002 Dainty Dots M-Bossabilities folder, then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner tape.  I attached the Christmas piece using 3D Foam Squares, and finished it off with a twine bow.

Wishing you lots of merry & A give away!

Whew, this month is flying by, first week down!  I was hoping December would go a bit slower...but it's been go go go so far.

This post was shared on Monday over on the CardMaker blog, and I am celebrating today with a small giveaway!  :) I have been spending an insane amount of time *trying* to clean and purge my office, and am still NOWHERE near finished.  However, I have come along a few cards I haven't shared, and a few extras of things.

Circle cards are one of my favorites, and I go through spurts of making ONLY circle cards it seems like, and I have to force my self to stop.  ;)  I haven't made any for a while now, so...I think it's time to make a few- the stamps are Hero Arts, paper is Basic Grey, and dies of course are Spellbinders.

And, to celebrate joining the CardMaker blog team, I have an extra new in package Eyelet Circles from Spellbinders to give away- Leave a comment by Monday the 10th and I'll pick a winner next week-

Wishing you lots of merry!! Pin It Now!

I just happened to have a group of friends over to make Christmas Cards not too long back, so I managed to knock out a few using this new set Sentimental Holiday from Beth.  Here's a set of four I did, changing the sentiments and card bases only.  They all use the same patterned paper.

I don't do well with mass production, and actually I have always mailed photo cards!(Shhh...) So I thought I would change it up this year!

Each card has a different sentiment, arrangement of patterned paper strips, and bases.

And because I am going to be mailing these, I kept them relatively flat.  I ended up embossing just the edge on the left side of each one for a little more pop.

This card was a product of using up my scraps! I had this die cut already done, along with the white piece behind it, so I decided to use it up! along with the fun holly leaves.

And the last of these cards, I used Gina's Merry Little Christmas Patterned paper pack along with the star from the set.  The patterned paper looks as if it was meant to work with this star!

And lastly, I have a card using Theresa's new set Elegant Florals.  I love the silhouette flowers in this set, so versatile!

For my first card today I used Becky's new set Warm Woolen Mittens.  (I SO love that handwritten font!)  I stamped the mittens and their cuff outlines in blue ink, then filled the cuffs in with fun flock-

These would make adorable tags for some sort of hot cocoa gift set!

The second card uses Melanie's new set Lots of Letters.  This will a great set for scrapbooking, and the letters are the perfect size to spell out sentiments on your cards!

It's right around the corner!

I can't believe it's December 1st already-  I am so excited for the holiday's and the upcoming break from school!

I used my Spellbinders die to create my snowflake. (Create a Flake Four) I ran it through using Adhesive Sheets, and then glittered with fine glitter.  The sentiment is from this months set, Smitten With You, and is stamped in white craft ink; and I used an old edge punch for the corners
