Thinking of you @AveryElleStamps

It's SPRING BREAK! I am super excited to have the week off from most carpool things...and a few nights of late night movie watching are in order, and I believe a girls day at the market as well since both my husband and son are off on their own adventures this week!

I had a free moment to play along with Avery Elles AEI♥U challenge this time, but it was a stretch for me!

I wanted to emulate the water background, so I inked up one of the backgrounds from All Squared Up using varying shades of VersaMagic inks from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko- Oasis Green, Sea Breeze, & Aspen Mist.  I stamped them repeatedly across the card and changed up where I inked each color each time.   To emulate the dock, I used an M-Bossabilities wood grain folder on my card stock after stamping the sentiment, and finished it off with a twine bow.

and we are off to day one of break- softball practice, then Easter dinner shopping, and some egg dyeing is on the agenda for today!

CFC96 Funny Bunny

Welcome to another CAS-ual Friday's challenge! Today's challenge is to create a CAS Easter project that is NOT a card!

This weeks winner will win a prize from Timeless Twine!

This was the perfect opportunity to create a quick little Easter Treat for my daughters teacher!  I paper pieced the cute little bunny using Black Onyx VersaFine ink with Lawn Fawns Pink Lemonade petite paper pack.  I stamped the sentiment and bonny hop lines, and then adhered the die cut to another patterned paper die cut.  Using Crafty Power tape, adhere to top of treat bag!

CardMaker hop with LawnFawn

Welcome the CardMaker & Lawn Fawn Blog hop!
I just love all of Lawn Fawns new releases, and am loving their newest paper line, Pink Lemonade!

My first card uses the Pink Lemonade petite paper pack, Home Sweet Home clear stamps, & Quinn's ABC's lawn cuts.  I think this may be my favorite of the cards today.  I used the Quinn's ABC's to die cut hello.  I then added various strips of patterned paper behind the openings.  I finished it off with a few cute birdies, and some twine.

The next two cards use the same Pink Lemonade petite paper pack, and the A little birdie told me stamps & lawn cuts, but with different patterns, dies, and sentiments.

For this card, I changed up the speech bubble and sentiment, along with the paper patterns. I was really drawn to the yellow green combo on this one!  I finished it off with a orange twine bow.

And, as you can see here, I sort of have a thing for those speech bubbles.. third card using them, didn't even realize that until writing them up here! :)  For this card, I started with the jar patterned paper.  I then die cut a bunch of the hearts from the patterned paper, and filled the jars up with all the heart die cuts.   I finished it off with some sequins, and a light spray of shimmer spritz for added sparkle.

Make sure you head on over to Elena's blog next, and also, I hear there is a giveaway over at the Lawn Fawn Blog!!

AIR post, Stenciling with Brilliance™ inks

Today I am sharing a spring themed card using Brilliance™ Pigment inks from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko to stencil through Spellbinders™ dies!
This Wonderful Wings set from Spellbinders is one of my Favorite sets with all the butterfly styles in it!  I chose this particular one so I could ink up the inside with some nice spring colors.   Let's start with running your die template through your machine, and leaving the paper in tact after embossing it.

For my first butterfly, I chose the Pearlescent Purple Dew Drop & an Ink Blusher™.  Just swipe the ink Blusher across your pad, and then onto your project.

Repeat with the second die, leaving paper in tact- Here I am using Pearlescent Sky Blue

For the last one I used the Pearlescent Orchid Dew Drop.  You can also ink through the die using your Dew Drop direct to the paper.
To finish off the card, I embossed the background using the LF-006 Wonderful Wings M-Bossabilities folder.  I adhered it to my card base using Crafty Foam Tape.  I then adhered the butterflies using 3D Foam Squares.  I stamped the sentiment from Paper Smooches, created banner ends, and attache it along with some pearls to my card.

CFC95, no stamps!

This weeks challenge is NO stamps!  Luckily, we had a great prize sponsor this week to help us out with that! ;)

They provided us with some great stuff to work with,  and rumor has it, this weeks winner will also receive a great little prize pack from them!

For my card, I felt compelled to use green. So not my normal color, and while I like how it turned out, I'm not sure why I went with green! ;)
I used a green die cut, along with a few SRM stickers, (the black and white pennant and the sentiment) and some sequins.

AIR - All Purpose Inks Splatter technique

Hello! I am excited to share my first IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko AIR post with you today- AND I participated in Tiff's fun Mix-ability challenge over at SCS!  Her challenge was to get splatter-ific.
And IMAGINE Crafts/Tsuiknekos All Purpose Inks are just perfect for it!

Spray's seem to be everywhere now- and come in every color.  I used my All Purpose Inks to create the splatter background following Tiff's suggestion of using a paintbrush.

If you haven't played with the API (all purpose inks) before, they are pretty dang fun!  Here I have Poppy Red, Tangelo, & Peony Purple.  I loaded my well with a few drops of water and a few drops of ink.  (I literally just scooped was in the lid into the well.)  I then swished my paintbrush around in it and flicked it onto my card front until I liked the final result.  You can also use them with a paintbrush to color in images as well.  *Note- cover your work area when splattering, it can get a bit messy. but in a good way! ;)

To finish off my card, I chose a few ink colors that would complement the purple/red/orange combo I already committed to! ;)  I stamped the flower base in Pear Tart, and the flowers in Grape Jelly Memento inks.  I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  To finish it off, I added a ribbon tab, and some washi tape on the right side.

There's still time to play along in Tiff's challenge- and a new Mix-Ability happens next week! :)

Stamps: Avery Elle Petals & Stems
Paper: Neenah White cardstock
Ink: Onyx Black Versafine; All Purpose Ink in Poppy Red, Peony Purple, Tangerine; Memento inks in Pear Tart & Grape Jell, IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko
Accessories: Washi Tape, Red ribbon, Spellbinders dies.

CFC94 Chipboard

Time for another CLEAN and SIMPLE challenge using Chipboard!

This week's winner will receive a $20 gift certificate to the store! And I hear there are three new sets debuting! ;)

For my card today, I used CAS-ual Friday's Breathe Set.  I just love sentiments. Nine times out of ten, I pick a stamp set based on the sentiments! This set has some great sentiments, and fun watercolor images in it.  I had a few arrow chipboard pieces from Pink Paislee that I covered with Memento's Teal Zeal ink from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko

Sweet Stamp Shop Guest

I am sharing a few cards here that are also over on the Sweet Stamp Shop's blog today from their newest release!

First up is a card using their new Kiss Me set.  I first covered the wood piece with VersaMagic Turquoise Gem chalk ink from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko.  I am IN LOVE with this color!  I then stamped the arrows in Thatched Straw VersaMagic ink.  The  chalk inks work soooo awesome with clear stamps!  I finished it off with a circle die cut from wood patterned paper using my Spellbinders dies.

The second card is from the Chalkboard Sign set.  Here, I stamped the little hearts randomly all over the circle die cut.  I then covered the arrow with Mango Madness VersaMagic Ink.  VersaMagic Chalk ink totally covers those fun little wood embellishments!
For fun, I tried a new to me trick- I used some Goosebumps Texture on my ribbon piece to make it stiff so it would stick out.

Sweet Stamp Shop release day!

It's release time over at Sweet Stamp Shop and they have graciously allowed several guest designers this month to join in, again!  Make sure to head on over to the Sweet Stamp Shop blog to check out all the details!

Today Sweet Stamp Shop is releasing several new sets, and I am sharing a few cards using the Chalkboard Sentiments set.  The obvious choice for this set is the chalkboard technique, so I thought I would mix it up with some pastels and sparkle!
I first stamped the fun swirls behind each die cut. I then stamped the hearts, cut them out and popped them each up on the die cuts.  I finished it off with another stamped heart popped up on the black and white washi tape, and some shimmer spritz from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko.

My second card went with the obvious direction of the chalkboard technique. ;)  I stamped the sentiment in Cloud White VersaMagic chalk ink, and then highlighted part of the sentiment with a white gel pen.  I colored in the bottom with a red Pitt Pastel pencil from Design Memory Craft by Faber Castell.  They lend a colored chalk look to your designs-must order more! ;)

Make sure to head on over to the Sweet Stamp Shop blog and check out all the other sets they are releasing today as well as tomorrow!!
